Billiards National Standard Do I need to point to the pocket to hit every ball?

National Standard 8-ball does not need to point to the pocket except for the last black ball.

Chinese Billiards Association Poole (8-ball) Standard Rules:

Definition: Free Stroke Right

1. When one side commits a foul, the other side can place the main ball anywhere on the table and start to hit the ball.

2. A line free hit is when the opening team is fouled, the free hitter may only place the home ball behind the opening line at will and may only hit any target ball between the empty line and the top edge.

Extended Information:

. p>I. How the game works

The eight-ball game uses the same main ball (white) and 15 target balls from 1 to 15, with balls 1 to 7 being full-color balls, ball 8 being black balls, and balls 9 to 15 being two-color balls (also known as fancy balls).

Both sides of the game determine one ball (full color or decorated) as their legal goal ball according to the rules. After all of our team's target balls have been hit into the required 8 bags, the team that scores the 8 bags wins the game. If a team incorrectly hits the ball 8 into the bag or hits the ball 8 onto the table halfway through the game, the other team wins.

II. Equipment

1. Table: internal size 2540mm x 127mm, height from the floor to the top of the bank side 800mm-850mm.

2. Clubs: must comply with the standards approved by the China Billiards Association.

3. Riser: the competition is provided by the Olympic Games.

4, Ball Setting Point: 635mm from the center line of the long side of the table to the top barn.

5, Tee Line: A straight line parallel to the bottom pool of the table, 450mm from the bottom and intersecting with the left and right pools.

6. Tee-off area: an effective tee-off area on the table delineated by the tournament organizing committee (usually for professional tournaments).

Three, placing the ball

Before teeing off, the target ball is arranged in a triangle, ***5 rows, each row 1 to 5 rows. One ball in the first row should be placed at the "placement point". Ball 8 should be placed in the center of the third row. The other target balls shall be randomly placed in full color and pattern, but must be in close proximity to each other. Both teams have the right to inspect the placement of balls for compliance and to request corrections.

IV. KICKOFF

1. The right to kick off the first game shall be determined by both teams hitting two main balls of the same size to the bottom at the same time behind the kickoff line. The one that puts the ball on top gets the kickoff.

If the ball struck does not touch the bottom edge or go into the pocket, it is a foul and the opposing team will get the right tee shot; if both sides of the ball are the same distance from the top edge, there is no way to tell or both teams have committed a foul, and play will continue until one team gets the right tee shot.

2. The Match Organizing Committee may decide before the match that the kick-off will be taken by both sides in turn or by the winners of more than one match.

3. After teeing off, any target ball must be placed in the bag or at least four target balls must touch the table edge. If after the tee-off, the main ball jumps off the table or the main ball goes into the bag or touches the table less than 4 times, it is a foul.

4. If the 8-ball is placed in the bag directly after the tee-off, the teeing side will restart the tee-off.

5. If there is no goal or foul after the kickoff, the opposing team will continue to hit the ball.

5. Determining the suit

1. After a team legally scores a goal in an open game, the type of goal (full-color or decorative) will be that team's legal goal ball for that game, and the other will be the other team's legal goal ball for that game, and the game will end.

2. When a ball is pocketed on the tee shot, regardless of number, color, or order, the teeing team continues to hit the ball and has the right to continue to select the type. After that, if the ball of the selected type has a legal bag, the game will be closed; if the ball of the selected type does not enter the bag, the game will be closed.

The innings remains open and the opponents may continue to choose the type of stroke; if the ball of the chosen type has a foul, such as the main ball in the bag or the introduction of the main and target balls, the innings remains open and the opponents are entitled to a free stroke.

3. At the start of the match, the batsman may continue to pass balls of different colors into the pocket with a variety of balls, and may also pass other target balls into the pocket without a foul with the 8-ball, but the wicket does not allow the game to be approached and change the opponent's shot.

VI. Hitting

1. Each time a player hits the ball, he/she is not required to designate the bag or mouth (except when he/she hits the 8-ball). If there is no foul throughout the stroke, our target ball will be valid in the bag and he/she will have the right to continue to hit the ball: if our target ball enters the bag at the same time that the other team's target ball enters the bag, the other team's target ball will not be taken out; as long as the other team's target ball enters the bag he/she will not be in violation of the rules, and the other team will be hit

2. After a stroke by either team, the main ball's first point of contact must be that side's target ball (ball 8 is that side's target ball after all of that side's target balls are in the bag)

Penalty for violating this rule: the opponent is free to hit the ball.

3. When a side hits the main ball and touches the target ball, if there is no target ball in the bag, at least one ball must touch the edge of the table (including the main ball).

Penalty for violation of this rule: the opponent has the right to hit the ball freely.

4. After hitting the ball, the target ball and the main ball not in the bag must remain on the table.

Penalty for violation of this rule: if ball 8 is not on the table, the batsman loses the game; if the other balls are not on the table, the opponent is given the right to hit the ball freely, and the target ball that jumped off the table will reasonably disappear.

5. During batting (including before and after batting), no part of the batsman's body (including clothing) or equipment (including body, frame, polishing powder) may touch any ball on the table except the batting head.

6. The club head shall not contact the main ball more than twice (including twice) during a stroke.

Penalty for violation of this rule: the opponent is awarded a free stroke.
