The lower body wears a straight skirt similar to a skirt, and dancers usually perform barefoot. This kind of dance is usually performed in happy festivals. Brunei people like to be lively, and they often dance happily at gatherings or festivals. They will dance to the beat when they celebrate the festival. The characteristics of dance movements are mainly a sense of randomness and relaxation, and the movements are not complicated or too difficult, which also reflects the easy-to-learn characteristics of Brunei folk dance. Male dancers are more natural and unrestrained, while female dancers are feminine and charming. Steps mainly include side steps, one step forward and one step backward, one step forward and so on. And the hand changes with the pace, for example, when you step forward and backward, your hand swings irregularly with the pace, and clap your hands when you move forward and backward. During the performance, there is a group of movements. Male dancers and female dancers dance in opposition, advance and retreat, and open and close their hands left and right to keep the rhythm of squatting at their feet. Then, after four eight beats, all the men change their formation with this posture and pace, and they are semicircular behind the women, surrounding them and doing this in front. The whole dance changes the formation through simple movements and hand changes, including the formation of men and women in a row, the formation of men and women in pairs, and the formation of men and women crossing. Dance music has euphemistic tunes and lyrics similar to Indian songs. The music is cheerful, the dancers on the stage are full of passion, and their hearts reveal natural happiness. Accompanied by music, dance conveys a very relaxed and happy feeling to the audience.
