Wedding customs in China

First of all, let's take a look at the three six rites of traditional marriage customs.

In the traditional wedding ceremony, there are mainly three books and six gifts. The three books mainly refer to the letter of appointment, the book of gift and the letter of welcome, and the six gifts refer to the acceptance, name, Naji, acceptance, invitation period and personal welcome. The three six rites here actually refer to the whole.

On the day before the wedding, we also need to arrange a good person to make the bed for the couple. While saying some auspicious words, I spread brand-new bedding and sheets for the couple, put on new Yuanyang pillows, cover them with new dragon and phoenix quilts, and then prepare some dried fruits to spread on the bed, mainly "early birth", that is, red dates, peanuts, longan, lotus seeds and other dried fruits. I wish the couple a happy family as soon as possible. In order to express gratitude to the lucky man, the host also needs to prepare a red envelope for others to express their gratitude. Of course, not everyone can do this lucky man. Only people with complete family, happiness, harmony, no illness, good spirit and children are suitable for this role.

On the wedding day, after the ceremony was officially opened, there were some wedding customs of the day, and Bian Xiao also sorted them out for everyone:

1. The woman prepares a dowry for her daughter in advance and delivers it to the man's house the day before the wedding. Generally, she will prepare a dowry box, which contains an even number of auspicious items, daily necessities and some money, wishing her daughter a better life when she gets married.

2. Wedding ceremony. Fireworks are set off to celebrate. The man took a group of relatives and friends to meet the bride's family.

3. Tea ceremony, expressing gratitude to both parents, thanking their parents for their parenting, and expressing that they will establish a new family and be filial to their parents after marriage.

4, sweet soup ceremony, mainly to let the couple eat sweet soup, indicating that married life is full of children, happy and sweet.

The bride should be accompanied by a sister group when getting married, and throwing a red umbrella and scattering rice for the bride indicates a good sign of spreading branches and leaves.

6. Formal wedding ceremony, inviting guests to watch the ceremony, worshiping the world, swearing marriage promises and exchanging rings, this is the wedding ceremony.

7. Toast ceremony. The two gratifying people thanked their relatives and friends for coming, and the husband and wife joined hands to return their blessings.

8. Wedding bridal chamber, wedding day, wedding night, there used to be a ceremony to do the wedding, mainly for festive occasions.

9. Newcomers should prepare wedding candy and cakes for the guests to express their gratitude and wish everyone a happy life.

10, back to the door, three dynasties back to the door means that the newlyweds go back to the woman's house hand in hand after marriage, put on new clothes, prepare gifts, and go to the woman's house in the morning to thank their parents and elders and have dinner with the guests.
