Wang Xuexi--Research, Teaching, and Clinical

There are countless outstanding leaders from the Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (BUTM), and here I'd like to introduce you to a professor from BUTM whom I recently met for an interview, Ms. Wang Xuexi

Wang Xuexi is a professor at BUTM. Professor, doctoral supervisor, Shanghai "Shen's women's medicine" 20th generation heirloom, the national famous old Chinese medicine . >Heir to the academic experience of Prof. Wang Qingguo (王慶国)and disciple of Prof. Liu Jingyuan (刘景源), a national famous veteran Chinese medicine practitioner, who is dedicated to exploring the modern application of classical prescriptions.

In this interview, Mr. Liu suggested that many of the classical theories of Chinese medicine are in fact metaphysical things, which we now understand it, and sometimes feel that it seems to be difficult but not difficult, seems to be easy but not easy, and feel that the reasoning he said is very simple, but still surprised at why the ancients could come up with such a subtle reasoning? The teacher has a very profound view on scientific research, on the basic theory of Chinese medicine, and on the combination of Chinese and Western medicine, which also suggests that we, as a student of Chinese medicine, should be diligent and determined in the direction of this path of learning medicine.

The teacher talked about how she studied and synthesized the theories, how she learned the classics of Chinese medicine, the significance of the classics of Chinese medicine to our college students, the importance of the classics as a treasure trove of formulas, and the marvelous proof of classical theories in her scientific research. After listening to these, I can not help but think for the study and memorization of repeated boring learning process before there is a coherent and flexible. Chinese medicine, never easy easy.

As Ms. Wang Xuexi said, "The road of Chinese medicine is an honorable but dangerous road that we will take". The Chinese medical literature is vast, and the thought process has been going on for thousands of years. We are just like a boat entering the ocean, stumbling and bumping around, but we are cautious enough to pick up the wisdom of the ancients to fill ourselves up.

More than anything else, I hope that through the teachers' rigor in Chinese medicine study and research, and their continuous exploration on the road of Chinese medicine, we can feel our responsibility and direction as a Chinese medicine practitioner.
