Method for make bamboo fishing rod

Materials required: bamboo, fishing line.

1. File with a large file, which will not tear the skin on the surface of bamboo pieces backwards.

2. Use a flashlight to make a big bend that is not straight. After straightening, use a heavy object to hang it, and then straighten it after a few months.

3. Put it down, air dry and straighten it. Cut at one end of each node near the pole tip.

4. Apply chicken blood diluted with water, thoroughly dry it, apply tung oil, and stop eating.

5. After drying, use sandpaper to knock off the wax layer, tie the knot with satin, and apply black paint while binding. The thicker the black paint, the better, otherwise the satin will be loose when binding.

1. Material selection: in winter, choose straight, long and dense bamboo joints and branches, with thick bamboo wall and diameter below15 mm.

For example, Phyllostachys pubescens, Phyllostachys pubescens or bitter bamboo leaves are used as fishing rods. Because bamboo is dormant in winter, it stops or rarely absorbs water. This kind of bamboo is resistant to insects, good in toughness and durable.

3. Straightening: Lift the first satisfactory forming pole with rope, with the joint of the big bamboo pole facing upwards, and hang a 1kg-2kg falling object at the bottom, and tie it where the sun can be seen, and always hold the bamboo pole by gravity to prevent its deformation. It usually takes half a year to fall, and it will be fine when the bamboo is completely soaked. Bamboo will change from green to yellow, from wet to dry, from soft to hard. Take it off, it will be a beautiful fishing rod.
