Can Fuzhou rice cakes be steamed with leafless gauze?
New Year's cake is a traditional food for the New Year in China, East Asia. It is homophonic with the height of the New Year, indicating that income status or children's knowledge and height are getting higher every year. Early rice cakes were used to worship gods and ancestors, and later they gradually became a kind of Spring Festival food.
Edible method
The main raw material is glutinous rice. Grind glutinous rice and water into slurry, add brown sugar, rose sugar or white sugar, ham, sesame seeds and peanuts and mix well. After smearing a layer of oil on the mold, pour in the mixed slurry, steam it in a pot, demould and package it. At first, Mengzi rice cakes were all bowl-shaped, but now you can see a wide-brimmed flat-bottomed iron pot propped up on a big stove in the street.
The pan is full of fried flaky rice cakes. The surface of the rice cake is fried brown and shiny, and there will be big bubbles. When children see it, they can't help but be tempted and pull their parents to buy it. When eating snacks, the rice cake is baked, sweet and delicious.
