What is line drawing?
Line drawing, a way to describe an object and its physical structure with the change of lines, is the oldest and most primitive painting method, and it is also one of the traditional painting methods in China.
Line drawing shows different artistic effects because of different tools used. Lines can be monochrome or multicolor, and lines of other colors can be added between lines or above lines to produce rich color changes.
Basic skills of drawing lines:
1, observe the object, tick off the main line, add lines and other details, and draw lines with different shades according to the light and shade to highlight the three-dimensional authenticity. Commonly used tools are pencils, charcoal pens, charcoal sticks, pens, nylon pens, signature pens, markers and so on. More observation will lead to more painting languages.
2. There are curves, straight lines, broken lines, thick lines and thin lines in painting, which are collectively referred to as lines with solid lines and dotted lines. In the concept of geometry, a line has a length, a direction and a position, but no width. As a design and visual element, line not only has the same length, direction and position as the line in the geometric concept, but also has certain concepts of width, dynamics and emotion.
