Characteristics and Uses of Corrugated Paper

Corrugated paper has many advantages:Light weight and good structural performance. Its internal corrugated structure is similar to an arch structure, which can play a role in impact resistance and shock absorption, and has good mechanical properties. Corrugated paper is made of face paper, liner paper, core paper and corrugated paper processed into corrugated paper by bonding. According to the needs of commodity packaging, corrugated board can be processed into single-face corrugated board, three-layer corrugated board, five-layer, seven-layer, eleven-layer corrugated board and so on. Single-faced corrugated board is generally used as a protective layer for commodity packaging or as a light card or liner to protect commodities from shocks or impacts during storage and transportation. Three-layer and five-layer corrugated boards are commonly used to make corrugated boxes. Many commodities are packaged simply and beautifully in three-layer or five-layer corrugated board, and colorful graphics and pictures are printed on the surface of the corrugated box to protect, promote and beautify the commodities inside. Many corrugated boxes or corrugated cartons made of three-layer or five-layer corrugated board have been grandly placed on sales counters as sales packaging. Seven-layer or eleven-layer corrugated cardboard is mainly used to make packaging boxes for electromechanical products, baked cigarettes, furniture, motorcycles, and large home appliances. In specific commodities, this kind of corrugated cardboard can be used to make internal and external boxes, which is convenient for making and also for the storage, keeping and transportation of commodities. With the need for environmental protection and the requirements of relevant national policies, commodity packaging made of this corrugated cardboard has a tendency to gradually replace wooden box packaging.
