Process flow chart refers to the schematic diagram used to represent the reaction process or chemical treatment. When analyzing the flow of products and people, the flow chart provides a valuable chart for step-by-step sequence. The process flow chart mainly uses graphic symbols, which can clearly express the structure of the original parts in the process flow and the operation process of the process.

Drawing process flow chart, there is a set of special graphics and symbols based on industrial standards, including pumps, centrifuges, filters, motors and other equipment involved in the manufacturing process, meters such as flowmeters and warm fans, pipes, connecting wires, valves and so on. By using these symbols, the long and complicated technological process can be simplified and easy to understand.

Process flow charts are generally divided into the following three types:

1, scheme flow chart

Scheme flow chart is the first step of process flow chart design, also known as the overall process flow chart or material balance chart of the whole plant. In the scheme flow chart, including a series of equipment used in the production process (with names and tag numbers) and the process of processing materials (with arrows and solid lines), the process of the production process is described as a whole. The drawing of the scheme flow chart is generally not strictly stipulated, and it is the basis and reference outline for the subsequent design stage.

2, material flow chart

On the basis of the above scheme flow chart, the material flow chart adds tables showing the types, flow, flow direction and equipment characteristic data of each material, and describes the specific flow direction of the material in the process.

3, process piping instrument flow chart (PID-piping &; Instrument diagram)

On the basis of the material flow chart, the pipeline instrument flow chart uses unified graphic symbols to describe in more detail how the pipeline is connected to the process equipment and how the process flow works.
