Flat-bottomed knives, also known as cylindrical knives, are mainly carved by side edges, and the bottom edge is mainly used for plane grinding. Cylindrical cutter has large end face and high carving efficiency, and is mainly used for contour cutting, plane milling, rough regional carving, rough curved surface carving and so on.

Ball-end milling cutter, the cutting edge of ball end mill is arc-shaped, which forms a hemisphere in the carving process of woodworking engraving machine. The engraving process is evenly stressed and the cutting is smooth. Therefore, it is especially suitable for surface carving, and is often used for surface semi-finish carving and surface finish carving. Ball-end milling cutter is not suitable for milling plane.

Bull nose knife is a mixture of cylindrical knife and ball end mill. On the one hand, it has the characteristics of ball end mill carving curved surface, on the other hand, it has the characteristics of cylindrical cutter milling plane.

Tapered flat-bottomed knife, abbreviated as tapered knife. Tapered cutters are widely used in the whole carving industry. The bottom edge of a conical cutter, usually called the tip of a conical cutter, is similar to a cylindrical cutter and can be used for finishing facets. The side edge of the conical cutter is inclined at a certain angle, forming a bevel edge in the carving process. The structural characteristics of conical cutter can make it achieve the unique three-dimensional angle clearing effect in carving industry. Cone cutter is mainly used for single-line carving, regional rough carving, regional fine carving, three-dimensional corner clearing, projection carving, image gray carving and so on.

Tapered ball-end milling cutter. Cone cutter is a mixture of cone cutter and ball cutter. On the one hand, it has the characteristics of a taper knife with a small tip, and on the other hand, it has the characteristics of ball end mill, which can carve fine surfaces. Cone-ball cutter is often used in relief surface carving, projection carving, image relief carving and so on.

Cone nose knife is a mixture of cone knife and bull nose knife. On the one hand, it has the characteristics of cone knife, which can have a smaller tip and carve a finer surface. On the other hand, it has the characteristics of bull nose knife, so it is often used to carve embossed surfaces.

The big head knife is essentially a cone knife with a large cone angle at the head. Mainly used for three-dimensional corner cleaning.

Drilling tools, mainly used for drilling. When the hole is shallow, you can use a flat-bottomed knife to drill.
