What is the relationship between Hou Yi and Chang'e?

Hou Yi and Chang E are the two main characters in the traditional Chinese mythological stories Hou Yi Shoots the Sun and Chang E Runs to the Moon, and they are a married couple.

Hou Yi is an ancient Chinese legendary hero who was an accomplished archer with extraordinary archery skills. In the story "Hou Yi Shoots the Sun," ten suns appear in the sky at the same time, causing the world to be hot and dry, and people to live in hardship. Hou Yi ventured into the sky to save the people and shot down nine suns with his divine bow and arrow, saving the world.

Chang E, on the other hand, is Hou Yi's wife and plays an important role in the story "Chang E Runs to the Moon". Legend has it that Hou Yi was given the elixir of immortality, but one of Chang'e's uncles became greedy for the medicine. One day, when Hou Yi was not at home, Chang'e's uncle attempted to take the immortality drug by force. In order to protect the drug from falling into the wrong hands, Chang'e had no choice but to swallow the immortality drug. Because of the drug's magical effect, she eventually soared to the moon and became a fairy in the moon palace - Chang'e on the Moon.

So Hou Yi and Chang E are a legendary couple. Their story is integrated into ancient Chinese culture and has been widely celebrated by future generations as one of the important stories of traditional festivals such as the Mid-Autumn Festival.
