Why do traditional masters use straight slingshots?

There are two main reasons why traditional masters use straight slingshots.

1. The operation of the straight slingshot is simpler and more direct, without much skill and adjustment. For those experienced archers, they usually pay more attention to the direct operation feel of slingshots, and straight slingshots just meet this demand.

2. The straight slingshot has less friction and is more stable under high pounds. If the friction is small, the slingshot will bounce off more easily and the trajectory will be more stable. This advantage makes the straight slingshot have higher accuracy in close range aiming shooting.

However, for beginners, Flex Slingshot may be easier to use because it provides more flexibility in installation and adjustment. Different slingshot types have their own advantages, and which one to choose depends on personal needs and preferences.
