What are the characteristics of yurts?

Mongolian yurt is a kind of house where Mongolian herdsmen live, which is popular in pastoral areas such as Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It has the characteristics of simple manufacture, convenient handling, cold tolerance and suitability for grazing. Mongolian yurts were called "vault", "felt bag" or "felt tent" in ancient times.
