According to Saussure's semiotics theory, as a nonverbal symbol in the video, "earth stove" can awaken the audience's sealed memory of traditional culture and folk customs, thus giving them a sense of familiarity, which can be regarded as a nostalgic point to attract the audience. In addition, for most people living in cities, earthen stoves are more oral narratives of the elderly at home. In these narratives, there are our past and the roots of our birth. Through the video, we can see the location of the earthen stove at home and the daily use of the owner at home, which can let us see how our ancestors made three meals a day in the less modern past.
