What is winterized kimchi
Winterizing kimchi refers to pickles that are pickled with a variety of spices such as chili peppers and garlic, of which spicy cabbage is particularly famous. In Korea, every year before winter comes, neighbors gather to make kimchi for the winter, which is called winterized kimchi.
Winterized kimchi, also known as pickled winterized kimchi, is a traditional Korean food culture. In March 2013, the Korean government formally submitted an application to UNESCO for the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity of "winter kimchi culture".
