The Historical Evolution of Bagua Tai Ji Chuan
But in the field of martial arts, no boxing is perfect. At that time, Tongzhi was six years old. Dong Haichuan, the founder of Baguazhang, appreciated Yang Tai Tai Ji Chuan's skill and the strength of Xingyiquan very much, so he experimented with Tai Ji Chuan's skill and a small part of Xingyiquan, trying to find a better method for the practice of Baguazhang, so the Taiji skill of Baguazhang was born and named Baguazhang.
After this foundation was established, it was only used as an auxiliary practice method of Bagua Palm at first, mainly emphasizing the use of Taiji to strengthen the subtle strength skills of practicing Bagua Palm, and combining breathing and Taiji tricks to cultivate internal strength. The focus is still on the turn of the eight diagrams palm and the training of the eight diagrams palm, and a small number of attacks adopt the method of physical and mental strength. After learning about it, Yang Luchan regarded it as a breakthrough of the martial arts concept of Neijia Boxing School, so he exchanged research with Mr. Dong Haichuan, trying to find a feasible way to integrate Neijia Boxing. After the death of Yang Luchan, Dong Haichuan continued his research and got the guidance of famous scholars in form and meaning. At first, this skill was considered as a training method integrating three boxing methods, namely, Bagua Palm, Tai Ji Chuan and Xingyiquan. Its embryonic form was established and it was called "Bagua Taiji".
When the first infrastructure was built, it faced practical problems. In the Wulin at that time, the opinions of the portal were quite heavy, and the factions were strictly regulated; For example, Tai Chi is not used for gossip, and gossip is not used for form and meaning, which forms an established standard condition. But Dong Haichuan, Yang Luchan and others are well aware of the advantages and disadvantages of their own boxing. On pungent and ruthless, Xingyiquan comes first. On the lightness and strangeness of body steps, the eight diagrams palm is the first; Tai Chi Chuan was the first one to talk about loose body. These three kinds of boxing have their own advantages and disadvantages. Dong Haichuan and Yang Luhan are both famous for their stunts. Due to the objective environment, they can't carry out structural reform on their fists and feet. Therefore, they hope to create a set of excellent family-run boxing that integrates the essence of the three major boxing methods.
Dong Haichuan and Yang Luchan are very familiar with "Eight Diagrams Taiji". The greatest part is not only the presentation of the elite Wulin in the family, but also the pioneering work of traditional Wulin to break the rules and work together! When the Eight Diagrams Taiji Biography was founded, it was initially limited to the secret biography of the Eight Diagrams. It is expected that all generations of inheritors can refine their research on this basis and develop this boxing into a set of excellent martial arts that can be passed down from generation to generation! Later, all the inheritors of the past dynasties devoted their lives to practicing the certificate and passed on the boxing and mental methods from mouth to mouth, but they also formed the phenomenon of not establishing characters, which led to the lack of information and evidence left behind and the difficulty in textual research. Therefore, the Eight Diagrams Taiji Biography is deeply hidden and secretly circulated, but not widely circulated.
explain
ㄧ. The characteristic of this version of Eight Diagrams Taiji prototype is only the auxiliary practice routines of Eight Diagrams Palm and Tai Ji Chuan at that time, mainly trying to find a feasible way for the integration of Taiji, Eight Diagrams and Form and Meaning from the theoretical and technical levels, and trying to construct the basic technical system of Neijia Boxing.
2. At present, this period of history is controversial. After the author understands, the skeptics all stay in imagination and reasoning or what the teacher has said. At present, they have not seen any reasonable new evidence to prove it, so they have not adopted it.
Dong Haichuan (18 13- 1882)
Yang Luchan (1799- 1872) Guo (1820- 190 1), the second-generation inheritor, Liu Dekuan, worked with, Xia Guoxun, Cheng, Li in the 20th year of Guangxu.
Taking the Eight Diagrams Taiji Biography, which was only circulated in the Eight Diagrams Gate, as the prototype, the experiment was modified, which got the full support of Xia Guoxun, so the second generation of the Eight Diagrams Taiji Biography was born, and this version of the Eight Diagrams Taiji Biography was modified, which was more complete! It can be described as a combination of Tai Chi, Eight Diagrams and Xingyiquan. In the appearance of martial arts, the main appearances are taking gossip steps, playing Tai Chi and boxing, which is very different from the popular Tai Ji Chuan technique at that time! And renamed it "Eight Diagrams and Taiji Biography".
The above are the second generation representatives of Eight Diagrams Taiji Biography, mainly Liu Dekuan, Xia Guoxun and Cheng.
This version of Bagua Tai Ji Chuan features unique skills, such as tangible and intentional movement, limbs, vigorous walking and walking with Bagua. The routine is mainly based on single-move practice, paying more attention to the application level of actual attack and defense between moves!
Liu Dekuan (1826 ――1911)
Cheng (1848- 1900)
Xia Guoxun (unknown) is in the process of the third generation inheritance, and died heroically in Eight-Nation Alliance War in the middle of 1900. Xia Guoxun is low-key and modest, and does not plunder the style of the Yang family. Therefore, in the inheritance of the third generation, Liu Dekuan plays the main axis of inheritance.
Liu Dekuan re-transmitted Li Yuanzhi (expert professor of the Central National Martial Arts Museum) and Wu Junshan (expert professor of the Central National Martial Arts Museum); Xia Guoxun sympathizes with an old friend and teaches Haiting Tai Ji Chuan gossip.
Until 17, the central martial arts museum was established, Mr. Li Yuanzhi and Mr. Wu Junshan were both experts and professors in the central martial arts museum. Inspired by the spirit of building the museum, they are determined to contribute what they have learned, get rid of the bad habits of martial arts in Wulin, and work hard to revitalize Chinese martial arts and avoid the loss of stunts. So I began to standardize and systematize my martial arts teaching, and one of them was Tai Ji Chuan, a gossip.
Li Yuanzhi and Wu Junshan, two people, like the martial arts fitness and combat value of gossip Taiji biography; On the other hand, few people are good at this skill, and it has always been hidden, let alone publicly promoted. So they began to painstakingly modify the third generation of gossip Tai Ji Chuan, refining it into the standard routine of gossip Tai Ji Chuan. At this point, Mr. Wu Junshan and Mr. Li Yuanzhi also formulated "Tai Chi Exercise", "Eight Diagrams as Sword" and "Dishwasher", and named this system "Eight Diagrams Tai Chi".
After the establishment of the Tai Ji Chuan routine of the third generation of Bagua Palm, the Central Martial Arts Museum knew the martial arts value of this kind of boxing, so it listed the Bagua Palm Tai Ji Chuan as a compulsory subject for students in the museum and only taught it in the museum! Mr. Li Yuanzhi is in charge of the teaching of the library, which is a compulsory course for students every morning. Later, boxing was quite difficult. When Li Yuanzhi brought boxing every day, he found that many students had serious learning disabilities or fuzzy passing, and could not learn the essence of boxing at all. So he settled for the second best, greatly simplified the difficult movements without changing the original routine moves and order, and reorganized them into 145 simple gossip Tai Chi. Although the name is simple, it is also very difficult. As for another branch, Chen Haiting, he is conservative about this punch and never shows it easily; Therefore, the Taiji Chuan 145 Eight Diagrams, which was mainly handed down at that time, was the version of the Central Martial Arts School (Wu Junshan was the standard routine version and Li Yuanzhi was the simple routine version). This is the third generation representative of Tai Ji Chuan, mainly Wu Junshan, Li Yuanzhi and Cheng Haiting.
explain
The feature of this edition (Central National Martial Arts Museum Edition) is that Mr. Wu Junshan is good at Bagua Palm, so he changed the straight training method to the orientation training method of Bagua Palm to make the Bagua Palm taste stronger. And Mr. Li Yuanzhi is good at grasping, wrestling, octupole boxing and bagua palm, which also strengthens Tai Ji Chuan's vigorous performance and the use of moves. This version emphasizes the gossip-oriented turn and the use of moves.

Mr. Wu Junshan once said that he collected a sword score of Wudang Taiji Eight Diagrams, which was passed on to Li (the former deputy director of the Central Museum of Martial Arts). It was mainly composed of eight trigrams: pushing, supporting, representing, quoting, moving, buckling, lifting and drilling. According to this sword score, create another eight diagrams as the sword method.
Cheng Haiting (1872-? )
Wu Junshan (the historical notes of the Central National Martial Arts Museum are 190 1, which is different from the facts after investigation, and the year of birth and death should be around 1887) (1903- 1972) The main descendants of Mr. Wu Junshan are Fu. The main successor of Mr. Li Yuanzhi in Eight Diagrams Taiji Biography is Mr. Zhao Fulin. Cheng Haiting's main successors in the biography of Eight Diagrams Taiji are Mr. Guo Zhushan and Mr. Jiang Xinshan (Mr. Jiang has many apprentices and his mantle has been passed down in Tianjin so far. Up to now, there are still authentic Eight Diagrams Taiji in Tianjin.
After three generations of training, the Eight Diagrams Taiji Chuan has a developed system! Unfortunately, at that time, the environment was in a period of national turmoil, and many people who used to gossip about Tai Ji Chuan were forced by reality or slack, so they could not continue. In addition, this boxing action is complex, difficult to learn and precise, and the process of boxing is hard. If you stop practicing, it will be difficult to recover. There are very few people who are good at this skill, and it is difficult to find someone to exchange and learn. Therefore, once abandoned, it will be forgotten. In the history of modern martial arts, the legend of Taiji, that is, the Eight Diagrams, was regarded as lost after the death of Mr. Li Yuanzhi in 1972 (in Tianjin, Jiang Xinshan's Eight Diagrams Taiji is still circulating).
After a long period of major disasters in Chinese mainland, China Wushu was severely damaged and suppressed, resulting in incomplete or lost Wushu inheritance! Although a certain number of people have practiced the inheritance of gossip Tai Ji Chuan, after a long period of blank, the current routine is seriously out of touch or fragmented, which is by no means the real gossip Tai Ji Chuan.
The existing authentic Eight Diagrams Taiji Biography in Shandong is a vein of Guo Zhushan. Guo Zhushan is a student of Cheng Haiting. Because Cheng Haiting avenged his father's death in Beijing, he killed a member of the Russian Boxer Rebellion. He was wanted by the Qing government, lived in his adopted son Guo Zhushan's home, and has been hiding in Li Cunyi. He thanked Guo Zhushan and taught him gossip and Tai Ji Chuan. After the demise of the Qing government, Cheng Haiting's case was dropped. Out of gratitude to Guo, Cheng Haiting took him to his father's grave to kowtow to the master, and Guo Zhushan became Cheng's student from then on. He became famous for beating Sun Lutang in Beijing, then taught boxing in Jinan and worked as a martial arts consultant in Shandong Wushu Museum. Especially after 49 years, there were many apprentices until his death in 67. Guo Zhushan is proficient in Xingyiquan, Baguazhang, Tai Ji Chuan and other internal boxing, but he especially respects Baguazhang Tai Ji Chuan. He thinks that Tai Ji Chuan's health and martial arts are very obvious, and it is a kind of boxing that even hits people. Guo Zhushan passed on Zhang Wanying, Qiao Hongru and Xin Xueru. Zhang Wanying passed it to Wang Mingxing.
At present, the spread of Taiji, that is, Eight Diagrams, has been practiced in many places among the Han people in Jinan, all of which were spread by Guo Zhushan. In Jinan, Wang Mingxing's practice of Bagua Palm and Tai Ji Chuan are the most authentic. In 2006, qtv interviewed Wang Mingxing and Tai Ji Chuan for more than an hour, which shows that he spoke highly of them. During Mr. Wu Junshan's stay in Taiwan, Ms. Fu kept a secret biography of Eight Diagrams and Taiji, and it was difficult to show a complete routine without a professor. In addition, Mr. Li Yuanzhi and Mr. Zhao Fulin have never published the Biography of Eight Diagrams and Taiji, which has been recognized as lost by the relevant units. During this period, Ms. Fu took personal friends as her friends, only exchanged ideas with her husband, and * * * thoroughly studied the essence of gossip Tai Ji Chuan!
When Wushu-related units carry out Wushu investigation, they can't find the inheritor of Tai Ji Chuan standard routine of Baguazhang. Or find someone who has practiced but forgotten; What's more, in the name of Eight Diagrams and Taiji Biography, with his own thoughts and ingenious ideas, Du clutch out strange routines and moves, thinking that they have been lost! It wasn't until I got in touch with Ms. Fu that I knew that Tai Ji Chuan and gossip were still passed down from generation to generation. After strict verification, it is confirmed that Tai Ji Chuan's standard routine, mental method and acrobatics method are still fully circulated in Taiwan Province Province. Therefore, during the 60th anniversary celebration of the Central Martial Arts Museum, a written statement was issued to confirm that the standard routines and practices of Baguazhang and Tai Ji Chuan have all been lost, and the only one who can complete the standard routines is Ms. Fu from Taiwan Province Province.
Mr. Zhao Fulin, another descendant of gossip Tai Ji Chuan, is a Shaolin artist. In cooperation with Ms. Fu, the Tai Ji Chuan of Eight Diagrams Palm was renovated for the fourth generation, and the moves with the same usage and characteristics were studied and integrated, and revised into a 48-style version, and a set of Eight Diagrams Palm Taiji Gun was originally created, with routine moves and no repetition.
Fu, Guo Zhushan are the representatives of the fourth generation gossip Tai Ji Chuan.
explain
The feature of this version is not only that the action is changed to 48, but also that the proportion of Tai Ji Chuan elements is strengthened.

Practicing gossip Tai Ji Chuan can strengthen the body, prolong life and beautify the body. Tai Ji Chuan pays attention to guidance and breathing, and pays attention to the cultivation of spirit. On the one hand, he exercises muscles, relaxes tendons and activates collaterals; On the other hand, he massages and exercises the internal organs through the coordination of breathing and limbs, thus achieving the effect of strengthening the body.
