Electroplating process flow

Generally, it includes three stages: pretreatment before electroplating, electroplating and post-plating treatment.

Complete process:

1, pickling → full plate electroplating

Copper → transfer pattern → pickling and degreasing → two-stage countercurrent rinsing → micro-etching → two-stage → pickling → tin plating → two-stage countercurrent rinsing.

2. Countercurrent rinsing → acid washing → copper plating on patterns → secondary counter-current rinsing → nickel plating → secondary water washing → citric acid impregnation → gold plating → recycling →2-3 times pure water washing → drying.

Chemical degreasing-water washing-acetone immersion-water washing-chemical coarsening, water washing sensitization-water washing-activation-reduction-chemical copper plating-water washing bright sulfate copper plating-water washing-bright sulfate nickel plating-water washing-bright chromium plating-water washing drying inspection.

Working principle:

Electroplating requires a low-voltage and high-current electroplating bath power supply and an electrolytic device consisting of electroplating solution, plated parts (cathode) and anode. Among them, the composition of electroplating solution varies according to the plating layer, but they all contain a main salt for providing metal ions, a complexing agent for complexing the metal ions in the main salt to form a complex, and a buffer for stabilizing the pH of the solution.

Anode activator and special additives. Electroplating is a process in which metal ions in plating solution are reduced to metal atoms by electrode reaction under the action of external electric field, and metal deposition is carried out on the cathode. Therefore, this is a metal electrodeposition process including liquid phase mass transfer, electrochemical reaction and electrocrystallization.

In electroplating bath containing electroplating solution, the cleaned and specially pretreated workpiece is used as the cathode, the anode is made of electroplated metal, and the two poles are respectively connected with the positive electrode and the negative electrode of DC power supply. The electroplating solution consists of an aqueous solution containing electroplating metal compounds, conductive salts, buffers, pH regulators and additives.
