What's the difference between folk guitar and electric guitar?

Folk guitar is a kind of acoustic guitar. The vibration wave of the strings is transmitted to the guitar panel through string codes, and the guitar box (body) makes sound, and the sound hole on the panel makes sound. The timbre of the guitar is natural, so we call it an acoustic instrument.

The electric guitar cuts the magnetic field lines through the pickup coil, converts the vibration waves of the guitar strings into electromagnetic waves, and then transmits them to the power amplifier through wires, and the sound is emitted by the speaker (horn).

Folk guitars are mainly made of wood and have a large cavity. Electric guitars don't sing. Although the volume of electric guitar is smaller than that of folk guitar, the quality of electric guitar is much larger than that of folk guitar. In playing, except for the special usage of electric guitar, the playing method of folk guitar is basically suitable for electric guitar. The advantage of folk guitar performance is more suitable for lyric songs. Unplugged country style and blues style are fresh, refreshing, happy and beautiful melodies that electric guitar can't play.
