Introduction of Nigou Song and Dance
Nigou Ying Ge belongs to Nigou Township, Liaoyuan Town, Puning City, Guangdong Province. It has a long history and is one of the traditional dances of the Han nationality in Chaoshan area. It is regarded as a symbol of good and evil, auspiciousness and peace, deeply loved and respected by the working people of the Han nationality, and has a broad mass base and social foundation. On May 20th, 2006, Puning Ying Ge was approved by the State Council to be included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list. Nigou Ying Ge is the best in Puning Ying Ge.
