Is the chip industry eating a youthful meal?

Making chips is like building a city. Chip design is a higher level than writing code.

IT seems common for IT to accelerate JAVA/Python in three months from scratch. IC is much stricter. Undergraduate course is the lowest. You have to have some basic knowledge of numbers, analog and electronics to get started.

However, the traditional cultivation of integrated circuit talents in colleges and universities is difficult to meet the needs of enterprises. To put it bluntly, there should be enough schools in China that can really give students videos. Therefore, when a company recruits a fresh graduate, it usually takes more than one year to be independently responsible for some simple module design and flow.

I think it takes at least three years to train a qualified IC design engineer and at least five years to train an excellent IC design engineer.
