The origin of army day

The Origin of "August 1st Army Day"

1On June 26th, 933, the Soviet Central Bureau, the highest leading organ of China's * * * production party, made a decision on "August 1st International Anti-war Struggle Day and the anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Workers and Peasants Red Army" based on the suggestion of the Central Revolutionary Military Commission.

On June 30th of the same year, the Central Revolutionary Military Commission issued the Order on Deciding "August 1st" as the Memorial Day of the Chinese Workers and Peasants Red Army, pointing out: "On August 1927, 1 day, there was a Nanchang riot led by the proletarian party * * *. This riot is the beginning of the anti-imperialist agrarian revolution and the source of the heroic Red Army of Workers and Peasants. " On July 1 1, the Central People's Committee of the central government in the revolutionary base area held its 46th meeting, and decided to "approve the proposal of the Central Revolutionary Military Commission and stipulate that August 1st every year is the anniversary of the Chinese Workers and Peasants Red Army". And pointed out that "the Chinese Red Army of Workers and Peasants grew up gradually from the struggle of Nanchang riots". It is stipulated that "Red Army Day will be held on August 1 this year, and banners will be awarded to the Red Army regiments, and medals will be awarded to the responsible comrades who led the Nanchang riots and commanders who have made special contributions to the Red Army" and "a preferential card for the families of the Red Army will be formulated". From then on, every "August 1st" Army Day, we will carry out activities to support the army.

After the establishment of the China People's Liberation Army, August 1 day is still Army Day.
