The history and culture of Bailuyuan

In the history of Bailuyuan, seven counties including Zhiyang, Baling, Nanling, Bacheng, Bailu and Ning Min were established successively.

Historically, Bailuyuan is condescending and easy to maneuver, which has an extremely important strategic position in defending the urban area of Xi. To the east of Bailuyuan (now General Du Ge Village), it was once the garrison of a captain Changshui in Han Dynasty. On the eve of liberation, Kuomintang troops stationed in Bailuyuan, repaired fortifications, dug trenches and fought back. It was finally repelled by the People's Liberation Army.

In the history of modern revolution, the 15th Red Army Corps led by Xu Haidong carried out revolutionary activities here in 1935, and the enlarged meeting of the Hubei, Henan and Shaanxi Provincial Committee was also held here. The people of China once sowed the revolutionary fire on the White Deer Plain.
