Curing Principle of Light Curing Coatings

Traditional curing of coatings is usually done by heating, i.e., physical drying to remove the solvent in the polymer solution and obtain a hardened film.

UV curing is the use of ultraviolet light energy to trigger the low molecular prepolymer or zwitterionic and active diluent monomer molecules in the coating between the polymerization and crosslinking reactions, to get a hardened film, essentially through the formation of chemical bonds to achieve chemical drying.
