Lantern making tutorial video student version

The video student version of the lantern making tutorial is as follows:

Material preparation:

Bring your own tools and materials for making lanterns.

Such as scissors, glue, pencils, rulers, compasses, all kinds of colored paper (square or round pieces of paper), a piece of thin iron wire (20cm), sewing needles, pieces of paper printed with galloping horses, snap fasteners, etc.

Production steps:

1. Cut the red paper into a circle as shown in the figure. The square is 36× 14CM, and the diameter of the circle is 12CM. A square is used as a cylinder, and a circle is used as a top cover (wind wheel).

2. Cut one end of the cylinder into many small teeth and stick the top cover with glue.

3. Making the wind wheel on the top cover: Cut out eight small windows in the center of the circular paper, and each window is half open with the same direction. Stick it on the cylinder when it is finished.

4. Use thin iron wire as a bracket to make a double ring to cover the bulb, and the tip is in the center of the top cover. For durability, a snap button is embedded in the middle as a support.

5. Cut and paste the galloping horse pattern. You can also draw horses with colored pens.

Steps for manufacturing a flame lamp:

First, make a flame cage. Find 1 piece of slightly hard cardboard, cut out 1 circle with a diameter of about 10 cm, and leave 1 hole in the center for 1 long bamboo stick to pass through. Divide the circle into 16 equal parts, each equal part is 22.5, draw a line and mark it, then cut a small mouth along the line with a knife and fold it out slightly. Hot air passes through here. Cut out a few small corners at the edge of the circle, fold them out, and stick them with long Taoist paper (about the circumference of the upper circle, about 16 cm wide), which is engraved with (hollowed out) various patterns you like.

The hollowed-out part of the pattern can be pasted with colored cellophane on the back, which becomes a colored pattern and will be more beautiful. The top and bottom should be glued into a tube. Finally, put on a bamboo stick. Wrap 1 piece of small paper between the bamboo stick and the round paper (below) to clamp the round paper. The flame cage is ready.

Second, make a framework. Find some small sticks or light sticks and nail them into a 1 cube slightly larger than the flame cage, and nail wood with a width of 1 in the middle of the lower (base) to make a horizontal bottom plate. Put candles on it, put 1 small glass bottles or other slippery things in the middle, and the bamboo sticks of the flame cage can easily slide and rotate on it.

White enough paper (transparent) is pasted around the frame. Tie a rope at the top (top seat) for lifting and hanging. A crossbar in the middle, make a hole. One end of the bamboo stick in the middle of the flame cage is put on this piece of wood, and the other end falls on something slippery, thus making a lantern. It will be more beautiful if it is carefully decorated outside. As long as you light a candle, it will turn. The candle in the lantern needs to be cut into small pieces. When you put it in a lantern, you should put it straight and never put it sideways.
