Introduction to Camera Calibration
The image captured by the camera is utilized to restore an object in space. Here, it may be assumed that there exists a simple linear relationship between the image captured by the camera and the object in three-dimensional space as follows: [image]=M[object],Here, the matrix M can be regarded as the geometric model of the camera imaging. The parameters in M are the camera parameters. Usually, these parameters are to be obtained through experimentation and computation. This process of solving for the parameters is called camera calibration.
