Dovetail groove thread

Dovetail grooves are used for threading, and a grooving machine is used to cut a number of dovetail grooves in the direction perpendicular to the splicing direction of plates, and then the dovetail grooves are penetrated into the beam to prevent the wood itself from cracking. If glue is not used, the interface position between boards must be smooth and level.

T interface

In order to avoid the concave-convex deformation caused by the deformation of plates, the splicing interface of plates can also be treated as a T-shaped interface to increase the deformation resistance between plates, and plates can be spliced. Disadvantages: the effect of stitching is not guaranteed, and the gap estimation between plates exists.

Screw hole splicing

The processing method of western Nordic furniture is to insert screw holes obliquely into the back of the board and connect the two boards together through screws. Compared with the first method, this method is more suitable. In the case of smooth interface treatment, it can be enlarged, very flat and without interface cracks. Disadvantages: When metal parts are driven into the wood, it is easy to crack the wood, the wood deformation is not binding, and the gap may be ugly.
