Traditional Chinese Medicine Agriculture —— The Future of Healthy Life
? Man and nature are linked through the food chain. Human food mainly comes from plants and animals. Animals and plants grow by getting nutrients from the natural environment. If these animals and plants contain environmental pollution, it will be dangerous for people to eat them. Take pesticide residues as an example. If crops have pesticide residues, they will enter the food chain. If residues cannot be decomposed (such as heavy metals and chemical pesticides, which are relatively stable and difficult to decompose), people, the organisms with the highest nutritional level in the food chain, will accumulate more toxic substances in their bodies.
China accounts for 7% of the world's land, but the use of pesticides accounts for 35% of the world. Therefore, in recent years, among the pesticides scattered by farmers on farmland, those non-degradable pesticide residues and heavy metals all exist in the food chain and will eventually return to the human body.
1. The severity of the problem
We have paid a heavy price around grain production. Some people say that we feed 20% of the world's population with 7% of cultivated land, but we ignore the following basic facts: we use 35% of the world's nitrogen fertilizer, 3 times the global average pesticide consumption, and 70% of the available fresh water resources. The following set of data may illustrate the seriousness of this problem:
? As early as 2005, the annual output of antibiotic raw materials in China reached 2 1 10,000 tons; Per capita 0. 16 kg; In 20 10 year, the total amount of chemical fertilizer applied in China was 55610.7 million tons, with a per capita of 410.5 kg; In that year, the consumption of agricultural film was 2173,000 tons, and the per capita consumption was 1.62 kg. The total amount of pesticides in 20 13 years was 3.37 million tons, with a per capita of 2.59 kg; In the same year, China imported 60 million tons of genetically modified soybeans from the United States, Brazil and other places, bringing glyphosate 195.6 tons, per capita glyphosate content 1.956 grams, and per capita glyphosate metabolite content of 3.444 grams.
The addition of the above chemicals in the food production process has objectively liberated part of the labor force and improved production efficiency, but direct or potential harmful substances have entered the food chain, leading to the deterioration of national health. At present, hospitals are overcrowded and the contradiction between doctors and patients is very prominent, which is inseparable from the harmful substances in the food chain entering the human body. In 2007, there were 60 million potential heart disease patients in China. There were 200 million hypertensive patients in 2008, and the awareness rate of hypertension was only 30%. In 20 10, about 2.2 million children in China developed precocious puberty; 20 1 1 year, the total number of children with congenital disabilities in China is as high as 800- 1.2 million; In the same year, the incidence of infertility among couples of childbearing age in China reached 1/8, and the number of infertile patients exceeded 50 million. In 20 12 years, the qualified rate of sperm in hospitals in Jiangsu province was only 30% for college students and less than 20% for office workers. In 20 13 years, the number of diabetic patients in China reached more than 97 million. At present, 1 person is diagnosed with cancer every 6 minutes in China, and 8550 people become cancer patients every day. Medical experts believe that 80% of malignant diseases are directly related to environmental deterioration, especially the "poisoning" of the food chain.
2. How much do you know about harmful substances in the food chain?
How many harmful substances will we be exposed to in the food chain today? This data is shocking. Take pesticides as an example. In 20 14, the national food safety standard Maximum Residue Limits of Pesticides in Food (GB 2763-20 14) jointly issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and the National Health and Family Planning Commission reached 3650 items. That is to say, according to national regulations, as long as the use of those 3650 pesticides meets the requirements, that is, the so-called non-exceeding standard, they are allowed to be used. Faced with these pesticides, consumers can't do anything about the effect after specific use, so they have to hope that those pesticides can guarantee the health and safety of the people with the promise of "the strictest supervision, the most severe punishment and the most serious accountability". God knows how those producers and regulators supervise those huge quantities of pesticides. How do consumers prove the food they think is problematic?
? The distribution of pesticides in food involves 284 kinds of food farmers, including vegetables, fruits, cereals, oils and fats, sugar, beverages, condiments, nuts, edible fungi, mammalian meat, eggs, poultry viscera, meat, etc. 12 kinds of crops or products, as well as primary processed products such as fruit juice, preserved fruit and dried fruit. Judging from the prescribed actions of the above countries, it is almost impossible for us not to use pesticides. Even if some kinds meet the requirements, can a variety of pesticides be mixed together? In order to solve the problem of excessive pesticide residues in fresh agricultural products such as vegetables, fruits and tea, the new standards implemented by relevant departments in 20 14 focused on the pesticide residue limits in fresh agricultural products, and formulated 2,495 limit standards for 1 15 vegetable species (classes) and 85 fruit species (classes), compared with 20,655 for vegetables.
? In order to prevent and control the harm of various pests and diseases to crop growth, there are 387 kinds of pesticides commonly used in different regions and crops in China, and the maximum residue limit standard of pesticides has been formulated, which basically covers the commonly used pesticides. In other words, the food we eat is produced by farmers and there is no pesticide. Farmers know how much pesticides they have used on crops, vegetables and fruit trees, and there is basically no pesticide and fertilizer left for themselves. Farmers don't know the types of pesticides and technical terms such as pesticide residues, but they still have instinctive protective psychology.
Besides pesticides, hormones have also been added to our food chain. The five hormones in plant physiology were all used in agricultural production, namely auxin, cytokinin, gibberellin, abscisic acid and ethylene. The fruits we see are getting bigger and brighter, which are all caused by hormones. The straight cucumber and the cucumber with thorns on the top of the flower that we see in the market are also the function of hormones. Vegetable farmers in vegetable greenhouses told me that it takes four hormones and a straightening agent to produce cucumbers. Even I, a student of botany, have never heard of it.
Hormones are also difficult to escape from animal foods. In the so-called modern breeding mode, chickens and ducks can grow up and be slaughtered in 45 days, and pigs can be slaughtered in 4 months, which shortens the growth cycle of these animals by almost 5- 10 times. For many chickens and ducks, it is often fed with hormone-containing feed to fatten up, resulting in a lot of hormones in these meats; In addition, it is reported that some fish, crabs and eel cultured in ponds are promoted by directly feeding contraceptives. This kind of food contains more hormones than ordinary food. Because hormones mainly exist in blood, the content of hormones in meat is high, especially in animal viscera. The harm of these hormone animals to human body is obvious, and the most direct victims are innocent children. Hormones can make animals precocious and children precocious. Growth promoting hormone can lead to precocious puberty and premature bone growth in children. Moreover, some kinds of hormones are very toxic, and after being diluted in a very high proportion, they can still enter the human body through the food chain, leading to cumulative poisoning.
? Life experience tells us that "the melon is ripe", but many cucumbers sold in the market have bright yellow flowers, which consumers feel fresh. In fact, it is the growth-promoting hormone that is at work, and the yellow flowers will not fade for more than ten days. "Clenbuterol" is banned by the state, but hormone drugs used in animals, aquatic products and vegetables are still stolen, and some people rename it "Xiaoliao" for underground trading. Compared with the strict detection of hormones and antibiotics abroad, the compulsory detection of hormones in China is weak, and some antibiotics are often unqualified, which leads to the widespread abuse of hormones in food production.
Antibiotics, as the name implies, are anti-life, mainly to resist or even kill microorganisms. There are many antibiotics in life, such as medicated soap, refrigerator and air conditioner. There are more and more antibacterial daily necessities, which means more and more opportunities to cause antibiotic resistance. The use of antibiotics in feed can not only prevent diseases but also increase production. Antibiotics are used as feed additives. In the eyes of farmers, treating diseases without treating them can make pigs, cattle and sheep thrive and bring obvious economic benefits, so it is used. There are too many antibiotics in animals. When people drink milk from cattle and sheep and eat beef and mutton, antibiotics will enter the human body through food. If cattle contain penicillin, children who drink milk will develop penicillin resistance. Although I haven't eaten penicillin, when I am sick, I think penicillin is effective and the result is invalid.
? In addition to pesticides and hormones, the use of a large number of chemical fertilizers causes nitrate residues, which are further reduced to nitrite and become strong carcinogens; The use of agricultural film is to grow carcinogens while producing food (the burning of agricultural film below 800 degrees produces serious strong carcinogens such as dioxin) and must be stopped. Controversial transgenic is to continue to encourage farmers to use pesticides and fertilizers on the basis of chemical agriculture, so that the labor force can be separated from food production, and its adverse effects have been very many. Limited to space, I won't introduce it here.
To purify the food chain, we must start from the source.
Why are so many harmful substances added to the food chain? Capital made it. The characteristic of capital is profit-seeking. In order to make plants and animals grow faster, various hormones are added. In order to increase the so-called output, a large number of chemical fertilizers and pesticides are used, regardless of their residues; In order to make the food look good, various additives are used. In the end, every link has capital to profit, but most people suffer, and everyone can't escape. At present, food chain pollution causes the increase of various diseases, and the interest chain of abnormal death caused by malignant diseases is very long, including producers of oil exploitation, smelting, chemicals, fertilizers, pesticides, agricultural films, herbicides and additives from the source; Distributors and dealers of the above substances, pharmaceutical factories and veterinary drug factories; Hospitals, especially infertility hospitals, crematoria and cemeteries; Financial capitalists, scientists and their various media spokespersons. In the above industrial chain, farmers who provide food get less than one yuan for every ten yuan they earn. If they count the labor force, they will lose money. We must adopt a reasonable planned economy to accelerate a reasonable market economy, drive farmers to produce grain safely and drive farmers to obtain employment. Food safety is directly proportional to the labor input into food production, and inversely proportional to the input of chemicals and hormones. China is the largest food producer and consumer in the world, with the largest variety and cooking methods in the world. If we purify the food chain, remove those harmful substances and minimize some additives, there is still a lot of room for improvement in national health and life expectancy. To do this, it is necessary to benefit farmers through reasonable channels, let agriculture return, and let farmers have dignity, rather than harming others and benefiting themselves.
? After China became a moderately developed country, the pressure on food safety is increasing. If by that time, more than half of us can still eat organic food (currently less than 1%), then we will be at the forefront of the world. Nearly 50% of the population in China live in urbanized villages. Agricultural related industries engaged in the production, processing, sales and service of organic food; They eat organic food and live in houses where villas or quasi-villas can be grounded; Breathe clean air; Drinking unpolluted water; Their environment is full of birds and flowers; They work happily, and people have a division of labor but don't compete, cooperate but don't eat the same pot; There is more affection between them; Most of them have been away from the hospital all their lives, so 100 is naturally old; They are a kind of happy people; Their jobs are stable; They are not exploited by the market, but have their own pricing power. Therefore, in the current upsurge of urbanization, we need to reflect. We need to reverse urbanization, that is, to move the reasonable elements of the city (municipal facilities, medical facilities, sanitary facilities, entertainment facilities, schools, banks, heating, air conditioning) to the countryside, rather than putting people into the city. In this way, a large amount of funds from the central government and society need to flow to the countryside, instead of letting farmers sell iron or even blood and become third-class citizens of the city, so as to bid farewell to the inhuman phenomenon of "three left-behind" (left-behind women, left-behind children and left-behind elderly people) forever. Purifying the food chain, upgrading traditional agriculture to healthy, harmonious and sustainable agriculture, increasing farmers' income and reducing citizens' medical investment, in fact, we are engaged in an efficient agriculture. This efficient ecological agriculture begins with photosynthesis and ends with the healthy blood flow of consumers, including at least five aspects: first, the electron flow on the chloroplast thylakoid membrane of field crops, in which the crops first convert solar energy into energy that all living things can directly use, and this production process is carried out in a healthy ecological environment; Two, all kinds of food, Chinese herbal medicines, pets, flowers, seedlings, etc. It is the logistics on the internet of things, and the wheels roll to transport the above agricultural materials to consumers; The third is the healthy blood flow in consumers. What is conveyed in his blood is good energy and elements needed for a healthy body and a long life away from disease; Fourth, the top-down money flow, the value-added part of healthy organic food and Chinese herbal medicines is passed from buyers to downstream, which drives college students, especially farmers, to find jobs, and more than 30% of the value-added part belongs to farmers; The fifth is the information flow on the Internet, which is very rapid. Through cloud computing, we can know where there is demand, where there is inventory, where organic agriculture is real, where there are problems, which need publicity, supervision and punishment, and finally repair and balance the system.
? Many people will ask, what if ecological and organic agriculture is developed and the output is reduced? Actually this is a misunderstanding. Of the 600 million tons of grain we produce at present, only 200 million tons are eaten by human beings and 400 million tons are eaten by animals as a small amount of industrial raw materials. If people's food rations and animal's feed grains are produced separately, more people will devote themselves to the maintenance of human food chain, the land will be intensively cultivated, and a large number of organic fertilizers will be used to restore ecological balance. Even without chemical fertilizers and pesticides, there is still a lot of room for improvement. After eight years of experiments, we have achieved high and stable yield in low-yield fields. The annual output of corn and wheat is 2500 kg/mu, and it is not far to continue to enhance the soil fertility, with an output of 3000 kg/mu. With such a land yield, one mu of land can meet the food demand of six people, and only 200 million mu of high-yield fields in China can meet the food demand of people, and 65.438+0 billion mu of vegetables is enough. And the remaining 65.438+0.5 billion mu, plus 6 billion mu of grassland, 2 billion mu of forest, 65.438+0 billion mu of wetland and 3 million square kilometers of ocean, can't we produce or directly find feed to raise animals? Animals don't need to eat so many people's food. Their eating habits are completely different from those of humans. Contrary to the scale of agriculture, being eager for quick success and instant benefit and being kidnapped by capital have caused the chaos of agriculture today.
4. Build four barriers to protect people's health.
The current economic development model takes GDP as consideration, which leads to the development of production, but the environment is polluted and people's health has become a problem. The source of problems such as "difficult to see a doctor", "expensive to see a doctor" and "tense relationship between doctors and patients" are unhealthy food and polluted environment. National health is not post-treatment, but source training. In view of the above-mentioned serious health problems, we have designed China's "Great Health" plan to protect national health with four lines of defense.
The first line of defense: beautiful ecological environment. In this environment, say goodbye to chemical pollution. In natural areas such as nature reserves, forests, grasslands, deserts, wetlands and oceans, there is basically no environmental pollution. People live in harmony with nature, leaving enough space for wild animals, and human beings should not interfere. Even in densely populated cities and villages, we should try our best to eliminate pollution, reduce garbage emissions and strictly control white pollution. Humans live in an environment of blue sky, green mountains and green water, but diseases are far away from people.
The second line of defense: high-quality and safe food. In 65.438+08 billion mu of farmland, the space for producing food for human beings has been planned. This space is not big, only about 200 million mu of high-yield fields are enough for producers; About 654.38 billion mu of cultivated land is used to produce vegetables and fruit trees, and the remaining 654.38 billion mu of cultivated land is used to produce feed grain for raising animals. People's food rations and animal feed grains are produced in different ways, and prices are raised and high quality and good price are implemented. Stop using chemical fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, hormones, plastic films and genetic modification for food, vegetables and fruit trees that people eat; Chemicals can be used appropriately for feed grains needed for animal growth. Stop the production of fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides and other harmful substances for developed countries, stop the export of agricultural materials to earn foreign exchange, gradually reduce or even stop the import of genetically modified foods, and protect the national health from the source of food: traditional Chinese medicine health care. For some diseases, early detection and early intervention can solve the problem with Chinese herbal medicine, and western medicine and western medicine are not needed for the time being. For Chinese herbal medicines, it is necessary to produce them organically, and strictly put an end to the production of Chinese herbal medicines by producing animal feed. "Good medicine, good medicine". Chinese medicine has a history of thousands of years of civilization. Practice has proved that Chinese medicine has made great contributions to national reproduction. However, if Chinese herbal medicines are produced by planting crops, the quality will be greatly reduced. The principle of traditional Chinese medicine is to fully mobilize the self-repair function of the human body, and the role of Chinese herbal medicine is to cooperate with these functions. The fourth line of defense: the modern medical system. Medical system based on western medicine. This is the last healthy defense line after the collapse of the above three defense lines, and its number is relatively small. For national health, besides medical security, the ecological environment, food, mentality and mood are more important, and it is a life disease rather than a physical disease. Doctors take saving lives as their first duty, and the state can protect doctors' income just like civil servants. Performance is not based on the number of medical care, but on fewer patients in the hospital. Only by returning medicine to medicine and reducing commercial components can we consolidate the last line of defense for health.
? Among the above four lines of defense, the first one is to try not to create patients, so that most people will get sick and die less; The second line of defense is to eliminate harmful chemical components in the food chain, increase immunity and self-repair ability, and minimize the number of patients; The third line of defense is early intervention and prevention of diseases, and try not to use botanical drugs or physical methods without side effects to initially control and cure diseases; The fourth line of defense is the emergency line of defense, using the scientific research results of modern medical care. Treat the few patients who enter the hospital to save lives seriously, not for the benefit. The construction of the four lines of defense will force some industries to transform, compress excess capacity, put an end to the excessive use of chemical additives and medical care, objectively reduce the production scale of human medicine, pesticides, veterinary drugs and Chinese herbal medicines, create a beautiful ecological environment, prolong people's average life expectancy, reduce diseases, improve family happiness index, and build a real sense of urban-rural harmony so that everyone can enjoy social development and welfare equally.
The arrival of traditional Chinese medicine agriculture will bring safe, pollution-free and pesticide-free green organic food to the agricultural development of the second line of defense. Traditional Chinese medicine agriculture will certainly change the harm that traditional chemical agriculture brings to people and create a revolutionary era of brand-new green agriculture. Traditional Chinese Medicine Agriculture starts with the study of China quintessence traditional Chinese medicine, and solves the application of traditional Chinese medicine in plants. Tracing back to the source, it combines the theory of traditional Chinese medicine with modern biotechnology, and uses the concept of "treating diseases before they occur" and the principle of treating both the symptoms and the root causes to regulate and repair plants, so as to supplement nutrition for plants, improve immunity, reduce the occurrence of pests and diseases, and achieve the goal of high yield and bumper harvest. Agricultural and sideline products fertilized with traditional Chinese medicine are delicious, green and slag-free, so that farmers can spend less and agricultural products can sell more! Fundamentally solve the contradiction between output and pesticide residues in the current agricultural planting process, and effectively solve the pain point of current agriculture, that is, the quality of agricultural products and heavy metals in pesticide residues exceed the standard. To solve the problem of food safety from the source, it is said that the disease comes from the mouth, there is no pesticide residue, the food planted with hormones, and the disease will naturally not come to you. Eat more green organic food and the future of healthy life-traditional Chinese medicine agriculture!
