What are the representative schools of China painting in Tang and Song Dynasties?
Tang dynasty was good at green landscape, and Wang Wei was good at ink landscape. Hao Jing and Guan Tong in the Five Dynasties were northern landscape painters who mainly depicted the real scene of the Central Plains. Dong Yuan and Ju Ran are southern landscape painting schools, which mainly depict the landscape features of the south of the Yangtze River. Li Cheng and Fan Kuan in the Northern Song Dynasty painted more magnificent northern landscapes, while Ma Yuan and Xia Xuan in the Southern Song Dynasty pursued painting more mountains or a corner of water with fewer wins.
