Newborn chicks are turned into feed. Do you know what their life is like?

In a farm that can hatch hundreds of thousands of chickens at a time, how miserable the chickens are. When roosters and chickens are born, they are mixed with eggshells and become feed. The life of hens and chicks is a history of blood and tears. With the improvement of living standards, there is a great demand for eggs and chicken in the market, and the traditional free-range chicken model has failed to keep up with the living standards of human beings. Large-scale farms began to appear, and chickens were artificially hatched to realize assembly line production mode.

Not all eggs can hatch chickens, only fertilized eggs can hatch chickens, so the first step is to choose the right eggs, which can be confirmed by special instruments and physical methods. The selected eggs will be disinfected to remove bacteria from the eggshell, and then put on a tray to enter the incubation room. The temperature of the incubation room can be adjusted by computer system, and the natural body temperature of the hen can be replaced by room temperature, and in order to make the eggs heated evenly. The trays in the incubation room can be rotated regularly, and some can hatch hundreds of thousands of chickens at a time, with a very high success rate. When the chicks hatch, a special machine will separate them from the eggshell. In this process, some chickens will fall into the eggshell, but no one will care. After separation, the chickens enter the conveyor belt and start artificial screening and vaccination. At the same time, they will pick out roosters, chickens and some thin chickens and throw them into special garbage bags. These eliminated chickens will be made into feed together with eggshells, which are very popular because they are rich in high protein.

The most terrible thing is that working in this environment for a long time will inevitably lead to some problems in the minds of workers. Some workers take pleasure in killing rooster seedlings, and even make people feel scared. But these workers have long been used to such things and have no mercy on life. Healthy hens will also start their miserable lives. No sunshine, no insects, no dense grass, being locked in a small cage.

According to statistics, a hen can't walk three meters all her life. Compared with free-range chickens in rural areas, hens in farms are fed 24 hours a day. In order to improve the laying rate, feed rich in high protein is selected, which is why the eggs in farms are generally larger than those of local chickens, and the laying rate is very high. Some hens can even lay two or three eggs every day. It is very rare for a free-range chicken to lay an egg a day. The life span of these hens is only about two years, because their egg production rate begins to decline in about two years. In order to ensure the maximum benefit, the farms will eliminate these hens with low laying rate, and they will be transported to slaughterhouses to end their lives.
