Current situation and related policies of emergency nursing in China

At present, the mode of pre-hospital first aid in China is generally similar to that in Britain and America, and medical staff are generally equipped with vehicles.

Due to the influence of local economic strength, city size, first aid consciousness, service area and traditional first aid mode, different first aid modes are adopted when setting up pre-hospital first aid medical institutions. At present, pre-hospital first aid in China can be divided into two modes: mega-city mode (such as Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing and Guangzhou) and small and medium-sized city mode. The emergency telephone number "120" is used by pre-hospital emergency institutions in China. The vehicles used for first aid are ambulances, which can be generally divided into three types: guardianship type, ordinary type and transportation type. Ambulances are equipped with a doctor, a nurse and a driver, or only a doctor and a driver.

With the progress and development of society, the people's requirements for pre-hospital emergency services are gradually increasing, and the first-aid objects are more extensive, complex and difficult. At present, compared with developed countries, there is still a big gap in the average response time of first aid. There is no special pre-hospital first aid law, and the regulations on the access system of institutions, personnel, businesses, ambulances and equipment engaged in pre-hospital first aid are not perfect. There are problems such as uneven development of pre-hospital first aid work in the country, imperfect network establishment, unreasonable resource allocation, lack of special training and supporting policies for pre-hospital first aid practitioners, and poor financing channels.
