What are the forms of tours? How to choose a travel agency with a group tour?

Conscious of the fact that many people will choose to play with the group because of the fear of trouble when traveling, but stepping on the pit with the group is actually very easy. So the question is, how to avoid stepping on the pit? Another question is, what are the ways to travel with a group?

The form of travel agency

What are the forms of group travel services provided by travel agencies?

Packaged trips

Traveling with a group is to follow the group throughout the entire trip, arranging food, lodging, transportation, and entertainment for everyone. The entrance is the deepest. I'm not going to press my watch first, then I'll talk to you.

Self-guided tours

You can book your own airfare, hotel and itinerary for free. Do you want to have fun? But what does this have to do with travel agents? Because travel agencies specialize in "hotel tickets" and "hotel attractions" packages, which are often much cheaper than ordering a ticket, plus a hotel.

Semi-self-help

Semi-self-help tours, between the group tours and free travel, can enjoy the preferential price of the group tours, but also not be bound by the itinerary of the group tours. In a typical four-day trip, the first two days are with a group tour, which provides transfer services and guided tours to attractions, and the middle two days are free activities, which only provide hotel accommodation and relaxation.

Private groups

Again, private tours. Private groups are slightly different from customized tours. Private groups create a route template, and users share the cost equally according to the number of people, one group at a time. You can take advantage of group bookings without having to join a tour with other casual travelers. It is favorable when there are many people.

Customized tours

The last word on customized tours is that they are arranged exactly according to the customer's requirements. What kind of hotel you want to stay, what kind of meal you want to eat, where you want to play, as long as it is legal and compliant, it can be arranged. And don't think that customized tours must be very expensive. Now that travel prices are so open and transparent, what else can't you find out? Now customized tours are quoted on the basis of cost plus 10%-20% service charge. This is more suitable for customized companies, or customers who have money to spare. As long as the money is in place, you are satisfied.

How to choose a group tour

Before choosing a group tour, the first thing you need to do is not to choose a route, but to choose a platform!

How many small travel agencies closed down after this year's outbreak and the bosses just ran away? Not only did tourists lose their money, but many tour guides also paid their tour fees and don't know how to recover them.

In July, Atlantis Sanya exploded. Tourists paid a high price for 3 nights at Atlantis, and as a result, they couldn't stay there and had to sleep on the streets. Where did you order the product? Mom's circle of friends! Did you sign the contract? Don't!

The role of the travel agency is more special. It is not a resource provider, but a platform for integrating various resources. It is interdependent and mutually beneficial with hotels, airlines, and scenic spots, and a reliable platform is the best guarantee.

Or else it really runs away when things go wrong. Who would you go to?

So the products I recommend to guests, including my own point, will only choose a large platform or large travel agency. Although a little more expensive, but there is a guarantee.

Guests often show me posters of so-and-so special tours, and when I recognize the QR code to enter, there is often only the itinerary, with a bunch of format terms and conditions attached. It looks serious, but I've never heard of this tour operator, and not even a travel agent license number that must be labeled?

What's the difference between this and a third party product? Who do you call when something goes wrong?

After choosing a platform, the first thing you need to do is to define the destination, but this part of the weed is mainly under the control of "a certain voice" and "a certain book". The travel agency is responsible for pulling weeds, and then select the group product.

Before choosing a product, first consider your budget.

The platform has a very good price sorting function. Let's take a look from high to low and low to high to get a good idea.

But this sorting without filters is a hodgepodge, removing hard attributes like private tours, leaving group tours and semi-self-guided tours as what we're talking about today.

Do you think you can eat well, stay well, and play well just by spending a little more money on a group tour? Play without shopping?

The first half of this sentence is correct

To give a specific example, our agency organizes two products in the Taiwan area line, one is a 8,000 5-diamond shopping tour, and the other is a 3,000 3-diamond pure play tour.

That's right. Spent more than 8,000 still have to arrange shopping in the store, because this hotel is good, the whole five-star, high cost. Instead, the 3000+ group spends all their time playing.

Of course, one cannot live in a five-star hotel, and it makes sense that there are gains and losses.

So when you are screening the product, you must consider the whole picture. Do you require the hotel to be 5-star? Do you have to play without shopping? Would you consider it if it was cheaper to go into the store?

If I was going out on my own, I'd choose a slightly worse hotel, but I don't want to store in stores. They are all fellow travelers. You know it's hard to be a tour guide if you don't buy. Buy it, lol. I also know it's not worth the price. If you have the money, you might as well sign up for an all-inclusive tour.

After thinking through these additional options, we can filter and sort through some of the products.

The pitfalls of traveling with a tour group

Now that outbound tours are not open, let me tell you about domestic tour routes.

1. Although it is a purely free trip, but the tour guide can recommend self-paid items? Yes!

We are familiar with the set: domestic scenic small transportation, secondary tickets, scenic entertainment projects and so on.

There are some that are interspersed in the lines: originally, it was all at the door. If you want to go in, you need to buy a ticket? Otherwise you have to wait at the gate for 30 minutes or an hour.

It was supposed to be a hiking trail, but you can get a better view of the mountains and rivers by boat. Do you want the boat?

There was no meal, but now there is no place in front of the village store, so you have no choice but to have a group meal. Do you want a special meal?

These are all gray areas in the operation of the team, the regular travel agencies will be clearly marked, said pure play is pure play, but does not rule out some small travel agencies will use these sets to "rub the ball".

It's not that I'm not suggesting you take part. I'm just reminding you to add these costs to your budget before you leave and when you're screening your itinerary, so you have an idea of the overall cost of your trip.

2. As a reminder, many of the routes will have "quasi-four-star" hotels, which is not found in the domestic hotel ratings. Four stars plus the word "quasi", that must not be four stars, or even three stars.

The new version of the contract stipulates the content of the "travel itinerary", especially the terminology used in the travel itinerary must be accurate and clear, there shall be no "quasi-star hotels", "luxury", "for reference only! ", "for reference only", "subject to" and other uncertain terms

So a compliant "travel itinerary" word is very accurate. Where to go? How long will you stay? How much is this going to cost? It's all written clearly and plainly. If it's more ambiguous and the price is exceptionally cheap, watch out. There are definitely pits, and it will definitely cost you more money.
