How can periodontitis be cured?
Periodontitis is a chronic and destructive disease that occurs in tooth supporting tissues (gums, periodontal ligament and alveolar bone) and is one of the most common oral diseases. Since the appearance of human beings, periodontitis has become a major disease affecting oral health. In China, the adult morbidity rate is as high as 70%, which is the main reason for the loss of chewing organ function. Poor oral hygiene and dental plaque formation are important factors leading to periodontitis. Plaque is the mother of dental calculus. The destruction of bacteria and the mechanical stimulation of dental calculus, as well as the decline of body resistance, can cause gingival inflammation, bleeding, suppuration, bad breath, gingival atrophy and alveolar bone absorption, leading to tooth displacement and loosening. Periodontitis sometimes causes pulpitis, leading to severe toothache. Loose teeth reduce the function of chewing food, increase the gastrointestinal burden and cause gastrointestinal diseases. Gingival swelling and purulent secretion may be the focus of infection, causing arthritis, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and aggravating diabetes. Pregnant women may lead to premature delivery or low birth weight infants. Periodontitis develops to a certain extent, which will lead to the loss of some or even all chewing function of teeth. Treatment: 1, effective control of dental plaque. Develop good hygiene habits, brush your teeth and rinse your mouth after meals, and master the "three-three system" brushing method (that is, brush three times a day for three minutes each time, and brush on three sides of your teeth). The toothbrush forms a 45-degree angle with the teeth and brushes up and down along the long axis of the teeth. It is recommended that dental floss be used to remove dental plaque between teeth, and fluoride toothpaste or anticalculus toothpaste be used to help brush teeth to remove dental plaque and prevent the formation of dental plaque. 2. Regular oral health examination. Do oral cleaning once every six months to one year (commonly known as tooth cleaning) to keep the gums healthy and the teeth stable, and effectively prevent periodontitis. 3. Early and effective treatment. Including scaling, scaling, periodontal surgery, fixing and loosening teeth, adjusting teeth, periodontitis treatment and orthodontic treatment. 4, strengthen physical exercise, improve the body's resistance. Actively treat systemic diseases, such as malnutrition, diabetes, endocrine disorders, osteoporosis and so on. And correct bad habits such as mouth breathing. 5. Pay attention to diet and nutrition. Eat more vegetables, fruits, bean products, milk, fish, eggs, coarse grains and foods rich in fiber, and quit smoking and drinking.
