Introduction to Wangjiang Building:

Chengdu Wangjiang Building is located in wangjiang tower park, Chengdu, and wangjiang tower park is located in the south bank of Jinjiang, Jiuyan Bridge outside the East Gate of Chengdu, with an area of 176.5 mu. There are Liu Shi Lan, Bo Guang Lou Ying, Cuizhu Road and Pavilion on the shore in the park. The main buildings are Chongli Tower, Zhuojinlou, Huanjian Pavilion, Wuyunxian Pavilion, Liubeichi and Quanxiangxie. In the Republic of China, it was turned into Wangjiang Tower Park and became a famous scenic spot in the city. What interests people most is the wide variety of bamboo cultivation, so it enjoys the nicknames of Bamboo Garden and Jincheng Bamboo Garden. Now it is a cultural relic protection unit in Sichuan Province. On May 25th, 2006, Wangjianglou, as an ancient building in Qing Dynasty, was approved by the State Council to be included in the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.

Architectural history of Wangjianglou:

Wangjiangta Park was built here in Ming and Qing Dynasties to commemorate Xue Tao, a famous poetess in Tang Dynasty.

Xue Tao was born in Chang 'an (now Xi 'an, Shaanxi). Living in Shu with my father since childhood, I am smart and eager to learn. After his father died, he signed up for a music book at the age of fifteen because of his poor family. She is good at poetry, and she is proficient in melody, which won the appreciation of Wei Gaozhi at that time and enabled her to enter and leave the yamen. She works as a school bookkeeper and is called a girls' school book. According to records, Xue Tao has 500 poems, and famous poets of her time, such as Yuan Zhen, Bai Juyi, Ling Huchu, Pei Du, Du Mu, Liu Yuxi and Zhang Ji, all praised her and sang poems to each other. Unfortunately, most of these poems have been lost, and only 90 poems remain so far.

Most of the ground in the park is covered with bamboo forests. Because Xue Tao loves bamboo all his life, he often inspires himself with the virtue of "lush and vigorous, modest and self-sustaining". Later generations planted all kinds of excellent bamboos in the Garden, which became a famous place of bamboo in China, also known as "Bamboo Garden" or "Jincheng Bamboo Garden". There are more than 50 species of bamboo/kloc-0 in the garden, including not only the famous bamboo produced in Sichuan, but also the rare bamboo species produced in southern provinces of China, Japan and Southeast Asia. The main varieties are Bambusa bambusa, Bambusa bambusa, Phyllostachys pubescens, Mianzhu, Huqinzhu, Maizhu and Phyllostachys pubescens.

Wangjiang Building, also known as Chongli Building, is the most magnificent building in wangjiang tower park. It stands on the banks of Jinjiang River, with a height of 39 meters and four floors. Built in the 15th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (1889), it has two square eaves on the lower floor and two octagons on the upper floor. The roofs and sparrows on each floor are decorated with exquisite clay sculptures of animals and figures, and there are stone fences around the pavilion base. Zhu Zhubi, the top of the treasure is gilded. The pavilion is spacious, with four pillars on each side, green glazed tiles on the roof, cornices and upturned corners, carved beams and painted buildings, and golden items are dazzling, which not only has the stability and majesty of the northern architecture, but also has the beauty and exquisiteness of the pavilions in the south of the Yangtze River. Because the building is located on the Jinjiang River, it is named "Wangjianglou". The name of the worship tower comes from the famous sentence "Beautiful and honorable, whose real name is Chengdu" in Zuo Si's Shu Du Fu, and has become a symbol of Chengdu.

Jinzhuo Building, located on the west side of Chongli Tower, was built at the same time as Chongli Tower in the 15th year of Guangxu (1889). There are three rooms on two floors, which are slightly boat-shaped and surrounded by cloisters. Because brocade households in Chengdu in the Han Dynasty often put the woven brocade into Jinjiang for washing, Jinjiang is also known as Zhuojinjiang, hence the name Zhuojinlou. The building is boat-shaped, which is said to commemorate Xue Tao's farewell to his best friend Yuan Zhen on the boat.

Yinshilou

Yinshilou, located in the east of Chongli Tower, was built in the 25th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (1899). There are three piles on the first floor. It is based on the poetry-reciting building of Bijifang where Xue Tao lived in his later years. It is open in all directions and interdependent on three levels. The loquat gate lane in the southwest of Yinshilou was built according to the meaning of "loquat flowers are shut in the door" in a poem given to Xue Tao by the poet Wang Jian. Passing through Pipamen Lane, there are memorial buildings such as Wuyunxian Pavilion, Chunxiang Pavilion, Complaint Clearing Room and Huanjian Pavilion. The two floors of a pavilion and the adjacent Wuyunxian Pavilion form a garden complex with Sichuan flavor. Stones are piled on the edge of the building to make mountains, and stone steps are used as ladders. The artificial creation contains natural interest, which can really arouse the interest of poets and poets in writing poems. The famous calligrapher in Qing Dynasty wrote a couplet for this building: "Poems, notes and bowls are fragrant for thousands of years; Yunlang lives on the first floor. " It is a true portrayal of the landscape of this building.
