Application of Al-Mg alloy

Usually used for the shell of high-end ultra-thin or small-sized notebooks. Silver-white aluminum-magnesium alloy shell can make the product more luxurious, beautiful and easy to color. Through surface treatment, it can be turned into personalized powder blue and powder pink, which adds a lot of color to notebook computers, which is incomparable to engineering plastics and carbon fiber. Therefore, Al-Mg alloy has become the preferred shell material for portable notebook computers. At present, most manufacturers have applied aluminum-magnesium alloy shell technology to notebook computer products. Disadvantages: Al-Mg alloy is not very strong and wear-resistant, with high cost and more expensive, and its molding is more difficult than ABS (it requires stamping or die casting process), so notebook computers generally only use Al-Mg alloy on the top cover, and few models use Al-Mg alloy to manufacture the whole chassis.
