Do the Sedek people still exist?

Sedeke people are concentrated in Renai Township, Nantou County, Taiwan Province Province, with the upper reaches of Zhuoshui River as the hinterland, and seven villages and twelve tribes have been established. It is said that four or five hundred years ago, the Sedek people had established many communities in Zhuoshuixi and its tributaries. Due to the scattered tribes, inconvenient transportation and closed communities, the cultural customs of each tribe have been formed and a unique language has been developed. Due to language differences, the Sedek people are divided into three language families and have established many communities with Zhuoshui River and its tributaries.

Hunting customs of the Sedek people.

The hunting festival of the Saidek people is held in 10 and10/month every year, one month after the harvest festival. Hunting festivals are usually held in the form of a single tribe or a combination of several neighboring tribes.

On the day of the hunting festival, all tribal men except the old, the weak, women and children and the seriously ill participated in hunting activities, and their prey was shared by every tribal man in the tribe, and the population of each household was used as the basis for average distribution, including tribal men who could not attend the hunting for some reason.

Women should not appear in hunting, just as men should not engage in knitting.
