What are the management styles?
In daily management, there are usually four management styles: 1. Mandatory management style, its management behavior mode is: "I decide, you do". The management tools used are notification, instruction, guidance and establishment. 2. Coaching management style has the characteristics of command, and managers and subordinates adopt two-way or multi-directional communication, listening, encouragement, counseling, clarification and encouragement (called high support behavior). Its management behavior mode is: "We discuss, I decide". The management tools used are publicity, explanation, clarification and persuasion. 3. Team management style Managers give overall instructions to subordinates, work with subordinates, pay attention to their opinions and feelings, and encourage subordinates to actively participate. Its management behavior mode is: "We discuss, we decide". Its management tools are participation, encouragement, cooperation and commitment. 4. Authorized management style Under the premise of fully trusting subordinates, managers give full authorization to subordinates and use high support (relationship) behavior more in the management process. Its management behavior pattern is: "You decide, you do". In the traditional management theory, it is limited to comparing the advantages and disadvantages of different management styles, focusing on which management style is more effective, and whether managers should adopt supportive behavior or duty behavior. The conclusion is often to encourage managers to adopt more authorization or team management style. Many managers also have a fixed mode of thinking, thinking that their management style is long-term and difficult to change, eventually forming "natural management" and refusing to change, hoping that subordinates can adapt to their management style. Among the well-known enterprises in China, some have such a management style-Lenovo, Haier and Sanjiu Group are all well-known enterprises in China, but the management modes and styles of these three enterprises are quite different. Haier and Sanjiu are both ox-style (centralized) leadership systems. In Haier, Zhang Ruimin is a word; On March 9th, Zhao Xinxian had the final say. Lenovo is a group of geese (democratic) leadership system. Lenovo and Liu Chuanzhi usually communicate with vice presidents and ministers when making major decisions. He also has a convention. Once there is a contradiction between the top leader and the deputy, we should first listen to the opinions of the deputy, not the top leader. In Lenovo's view, the vice president in charge knows the situation best, so he makes a decision first.
