What are the methods of treating cancer?

(1) Surgical treatment. Surgery is one of the most important treatments for early and middle stage patients, which brings hope for long-term survival to many cancer patients. For example, the 5-year cure rate of early esophageal cancer, cervical cancer and breast cancer patients has exceeded 90%. Even for middle and late-stage patients, surgery can greatly improve the cure rate or prolong the survival time. Therefore, once diagnosed, every cancer patient should first consider the possibility of surgical resection.

(2) Radiation therapy. Radiation sources include isotopes (radium, cobalt 60, cesium 37, etc.), X-ray machines, and particle gas pedals (which produce high-energy electron beams, neutron beams, etc.). There are two types of methods: external irradiation and internal irradiation. External irradiation means irradiating a part of the body from a certain distance outside the body. Internal irradiation involves placing a radioactive isotope in a special container and leaving it in the patient's body, or taking a radioactive isotope or injecting it into the patient's body, where it is absorbed by the patient's diseased area and thus irradiated.

(3) Chinese medicine can be used "through the meridians to eliminate tumors" treatment, the main therapeutic aspects of the first to dredge the meridians and qi and blood, regulating the body's stagnant state, in layman's terms, is to improve the body's internal environment. Turbid qi refers to phlegm, qi, blood and other stasis in the body, which is sticky in nature and easy to accumulate and block the collaterals to form tumors, and the treatment should be warming and transforming to discharge the turbid qi. At the same time, we should focus on regulating the dysfunctional internal organs, so that the five viscera and six bowels to regulate the function of excretion restored.

(4) Chemotherapy. It is the treatment of anti-cancer drugs. For patients in middle and late stages, the extensive metastasis of cancer tumors causes difficulties for surgery and radiotherapy, so drug treatment becomes an important means. Due to the development of anticancer drugs and the improvement of chemotherapy program, the therapeutic effect is greatly improved, so that many patients with late-stage cancers can alleviate their symptoms and prolong their survival time.
