Which subject classification does traditional culture belong to?
In my opinion, traditional culture cannot be simply divided into any subject, because traditional culture is relative to modern new culture. There was no strict dividing line between tradition and modernity, but the May 4th New Culture Movement in modern times brought about drastic changes in China culture. It shows the decline of traditional culture and has obvious changes with modern society.
Traditional culture has its own system, which is divided into three religions and nine streams, a subset of Confucian history, and a society divided into scholars, peasants, industry and commerce. In modern times, ancient architecture, art, literature, philosophy, mathematics, astronomy and medicine are all divided into modern corresponding disciplines, but they cannot be completely included.
For those who specialize in ancient culture now, it can be divided into sociology or history.
