How to Accompany Electronic Piano in Yu Opera
One, play the accompaniment should have the conditions
(a) keyboard skills: to be able to play the accompaniment must have one of the conditions is the keyboard skills, will not play the piano is not going to play the accompaniment on the electronic piano. But to be clear, the electronic piano or piano skills are by no means equal to the accompaniment skills, there is a fundamental difference between the two: the former is based on mechanical exercises to reproduce the content of the score, while the latter is a creative labor to complete the task of song accompaniment, so that it becomes a complementary to the song as a whole.
(2) harmonic foundation: improvisation accompaniment is a polyphonic category, of course, need harmonic foundation. The level of harmony is directly related to the acoustic effect and expressiveness of the accompaniment. The choice of harmony should be considered according to the specific needs of the work.
(3) Mastering the type of accompaniment: The automatic accompaniment of the electronic keyboard is the most significant feature that distinguishes it from other instruments. The automatic accompaniment of the electronic keyboard includes two parts: chords and rhythm. The rules of arranging rhythms are as follows:
1. For the music with obvious dance style, you can choose the rhythms that are suitable for it.
2. Slightly faster two-beat (such as 2/4, 2/2 beat) music can be selected march, polka, eight beat, bop or swing tuned to fast.
3. Soothing four-beat pieces can be chosen from bossa nova or beguine.
4. There are two types of rhythms to choose for a three-beat piece, one is the typical waltz rhythm; the other eight-six beat (6/8 beat) piece should be chosen as a slow rock rhythm.
5. Mixed-beat music is based on the above rules, selecting the rhythm in segments, remembering the rhythmic name of each segment, and changing the position of the keyboard or the number of digits in order to change accurately and in time.
6. In a piece of music should be based on the specific circumstances of the rational use of the start and stop, synchronization, intro, outro, rhythmic fills, and other functions, to increase the expressive power of the rhythm.
(d) Understanding the characteristics of the sound: the electronic piano is to simulate the traditional sound of the main instrument, both creative sound of the new instrument, the sound appears to be very rich. So many tones can be roughly divided into three major categories: one is persistent, also known as extended tone; the second is attenuated, also known as granular; and the third is the natural sound of fantasy.
(5) Scientific chord fingering: The unique automatic chord accompaniment of the electronic piano simplifies its playing style. Since the chords are accompanied by the automatic accompaniment, the playing style and fingering design are different from that of the conventional keyboard, which has two kinds of playing styles: single-finger chords and multi-finger chords. Here we will only discuss the rules of playing multi-finger chords.
Two, how to accompany the song
The first step: analyze the key of the song. A song, is the major and minor modes, or ethnic modes of the song's chord arrangement is crucial. This mainly depends on the song's ending tone -- is the do tone, then, is the major key or the national tuning in the palace style; is the La tone, then, is the minor key or the national tuning in the plum tone; if it is the re tone, mi tone, sol tone, then, respectively, may be the national tuning in the merchant, the horn, the microtonal style. However, songs in ethnic modes are not as effective when accompanied by automatic chords on the electric piano as they are when accompanied by other instruments, such as the piano, because the chords have too many extraneous tones, and then they lack some of the ethnic acoustic effects.
Step 2: Choose a rhythm. According to the genre of the song, choose one or several rhythms that are appropriate to the genre. The rhythm must be appropriate to the genre, otherwise it will destroy the musical image and performance of the song.
The third step: choose the tone: choose the electronic piano tone, in fact, is to choose the instrument. It is mainly based on the emotional color of the music to express, to select the most suitable to express this emotion of the instrument.
1. Lyrical slow melody: choose a soft, long reverberation continuity such as horn, strings and other tones, and auxiliary sustain, vibrato, etc., which can make the tone produce a wonderful effect of space.
2. Singing melodies: use string, woodwind, or vocal chorus tones with sustain and reverb.
3. Lively and jumping fast melody: choose the sound short, high range tone, generally do not add sound effects.
4. Calling or momentum of the section, you can use brass, saxophone and other types of sound.
5. Chinese folk music, folk music tone.
Step 4: Determine the chords of the song a few principles:
1. The arrangement of the chords as simple as possible. Two beat, three beat song, generally a bar with a chord; four beat, six beat and other compound beat song, generally a bar with two chords.
2. The two bars at the beginning and at the end are often accompanied by a dominant chord. The last bar of the end is always the dominant chord.
3. The dominant note is the one that occupies the strongest position or the longest duration (dominant).
4. If there are a lot of notes in a bar and different chords are used, the chord that contains the most notes of the melody should be the dominant one.
5. Avoid repeating the same chord as many times as possible.
6. The V chord cannot be followed directly by the IV chord, but the V chord is very good if it is followed directly by the IV chord. However, when a phrase is finished and another phrase starts again, you can play V→IV.
7. At the end of the middle phrase of the song, it's better to use the dominant chord or the dominant chord of the bar, so that the chords can be arranged in a favorable way, and don't always give a sense of closure.
8. The end of the song is often characterized by a chord progression from the dominant chord to the dominant chord, in order to give a stable and perfect ending.
