What are the advantages of feeding cattle with steam-pressed corn?

Compared with untreated corn kernels, steamed corn has a better effect on cattle, with weight gain increased by 6.43%, dry matter intake decreased by 4.28%, and feed reward increased by 1 1.07%. It also increased the weight gain 1. 17%, decreased the dry matter intake 1 1.59%, and increased the feed reward 14.42%.

In the experimental study on the influence of the thickness of corn steam sheet on the feeding effect of cattle, the thickness of corn steam sheet not only affects the weight gain of fattening cattle, but also affects the feed reward (Table 3-7). Feeding steamed corn with thickness less than 65438 0 mm, the average daily gain of fattening cattle was 65438 0.280 g, which was 4.07% and 6.67% higher than that of steamed corn with thickness of 2 mm and 6 mm respectively. Feeding cattle with steamed corn with a thickness less than 1mm requires 5.60kg of feed (dry matter) per weight gain 1kg, which improves the utilization efficiency compared with 2mm thick steamed corn and 6mm thick steamed corn, the former is 2.78% and the latter is 3.62%. Therefore, in practical work, the thickness of steamed corn should be less than 65438 0 mm. The smaller the thickness, the higher the rumen bypass rate and the higher the corn utilization rate.

In a fattening farm with a fattening output of 3,000 heads per year (a net increase of 200 kilograms), the economic benefit of feeding cattle with steam-pressed corn will reach more than 800,000 yuan (domestic steam-pressed corn equipment has been produced in Jiangsu Wuxi Huaqi Grain and Oil Machinery Factory, and the complete set of equipment is about 500,000 yuan), so domestic steam-pressed corn equipment can be used in cattle farms with conditions.
