The Basic Posture of Sitting Gong

Traditional sitting gong is a practice characterized by sitting posture. The main disk sitting posture and flat sitting posture two types of gong. The disk sitting work includes three types of work: natural sitting work, single disk sitting work and double disk sitting work.

(A) natural disk sitting work.

Natural disk sitting work, usually according to personal habits naturally sit cross-legged. Can also be two hands to help press the knees, chest together or to take the natural disk sitting in a circle. The upper body is straight (two eyes flat, positive neck, loose shoulders, chest, back, abdomen, vertical spine), standing tall.

(2) single disk sitting work.

Single-coil sitting has two postures: 1, left leg single-coil sitting: left leg on the right leg; 2, right leg single-coil sitting: right leg on the left leg. (3) Double Plate Sitting.

There are two types of double disk sitting: 1, left leg double disk sitting: left leg on the right leg; 2, right leg double disk sitting: right leg on the left leg. (D) flat sitting.

Flat sitting posture, also known as ordinary sitting posture, is sitting on a chair, stool or bedside practice posture. After sitting down, the two feet parallel to the ground, not hanging, the distance between the two feet is about the same width as the shoulder. Sitting position should not be too high or too low, to the buttocks, thighs and calves to maintain 90 - 100 degrees or so appropriate.
