The traditional title of China's figure painting is "vivid" or "portrait". A painting depicting a specific person. In ancient times, China was called portrait, portrait or vividness. Portrait painting can be divided into head portrait, bust, full-length portrait, bust and group portrait according to different creative requirements and expression techniques. It requires the painter to vividly describe the appearance, figure, modality, clothing and background of the characters, so as to show their spiritual characteristics, status, national attributes and fashion of the times and reflect the painter's own thoughts and feelings.

Portrait painting pursues both form and spirit, and attaches importance to the description of the five senses that convey the expression of the characters. Gu Kaizhi, a painter of the Eastern Jin Dynasty in China, once said: "The vivid portrayal is blocked." Velazquez, a Spanish painter, made this portrait, which successfully showed the characters' personalities through their cold eyes. You can also draw a portrait oil painting for family, children, friends and lovers.
