Shanxi Drum and Gong Artists
Shanxi gongs and drums are known as "China's first drums" because of their rugged, plagiarized, majestic, and natural regional characteristics, which express the pure, straightforward, impassioned, and heroic feelings of the children of the Yellow River.
Over the past 30 years, Shanxi gong and drum artists have inherited the tradition, innovated and brought the gong and drum business to many corners of the world.
Wang Qin'an, Wang Quanhui, Wang Shaozeng, Wang Pinghua, Wang Zhitai, Feng Lianbao, Li Jianping, Li Chunsheng, Xing Mingxuan, Zhang Xiaoming, Kou Yuliao, Han Jisheng, Pei Guangming, Pan Xianying and Fan Guiliao were honored with the title of "Shanxi gong and drum artists".
Chang Feng, Li Jingli and other 15 people were honored as "Outstanding Figures of Shanxi Drum and Gong Art". Yu Xiuwei and 39 others were honored as "advanced members of Shanxi Provincial Drum and Gong Association".
The national level player Huaihai, who has made great contributions to the art of Shanxi gongs and drums, was honored as "Master of Shanxi Gongs and Drums".
