Responding to an individual's unique personality through the 16 Personality Factors

The 16 Personality Factors Questionnaire (16PF) is a questionnaire developed by Prof. C. C. Cartel at the Institute for Personality and Aptitude Testing at the University of Illinois, U.S.A. The test utilizes the internationally recognized 16PF personality psychometric test along with the Chinese normative standards and clinical practice judgments. This test uses the internationally recognized 16PF personality psychometric test, combined with Chinese normative standards and clinical practice. The test*** consists of 187 questions and measures 16 major personality traits in about 45 minutes. The test has been influential internationally and was introduced into China in 1979 and revised into a Chinese version by a professional organization. The test has high validity and reliability and is widely used in personality assessment, talent selection, psychological counseling and career counseling. To introduce the 16PF, we can't not mention the trait theory, because the 16PF is accompanied by the development of Cattell's personality trait theory, and the two can be said to "complement each other". Cattell believed that the basic structural elements of personality are traits. There are many types of traits, including those that are common to all human beings and those that are unique to each individual. Some traits are determined by heredity, others by environment; some are related to motivation, others to ability and temperament. Based on his interpretive theoretical conception of personality, Cattell developed a questionnaire of 16 personality factors that characterize an individual's personality in 16 ways. The names and symbols of these 16 factors or subscales are: Agreeableness (A), Intelligence (B), Stability (C), Bullying (E), Excitement (F), Constancy (G), Daringness (H), Sensitivity (I), Skepticism (L), Fantasizing (M), Knowledgeable (N), Worried (O), Experimentation (Q1), Independence (Q2), and Self-discipline (Q3), Tension (Q4). Personality is a stable, habitual way of thinking and behavioral style, which runs through the entire human psyche and is an overall picture of human uniqueness. Personality is important for managers, it permeates all their behavioral activities and influences the way, style and performance of their activities. Numerous studies and practices have shown that some styles of personality types have a specific relationship with managerial activities, and that they contribute differently to the group and are suitable for different managerial environments. The use of sophisticated personality tests to diagnose the personality type of a manager or a candidate for employment can provide suggestions for personnel placement, adjustment and rational utilization of human resources. This is the purpose of this test.
