In the long history of the Chinese nation, the Zhuang people have created a large number of folk songs and passed them down from generation to generation. They are a portrayal of the thought, life, national survival and development history of the ancestors of the Zhuang nationality, the crystallization of the wisdom of the Zhuang people, the testimony of the long history of the Zhuang people and an indispensable part of the splendid culture of the great motherland. In 2002, the Fourth Team of Pingguo County, after realizing that the Liao songs of Zhuang nationality are unique and precious local folk cultural heritage, put forward: "The Liao songs of Zhuang nationality are the fist brand of Pingguo culture, so we must lay a good foundation for this brand!" Since then, the excavation, protection, publication and performance development of Zhuang nationality's Liao songs have been carried out in an orderly manner.

After in-depth excavation and sorting, the series "Pingguozhuang Liao Song" was published, with 23,000 songs and 92,000 lines.
