This book divides the history of China's philosophy into two periods: the period of Zi Xue and the period of Jing Xue. The book is divided into two volumes. Zi Xue's era was mainly concentrated in the pre-Qin philosophers, and the Confucian classics era was mainly from Dong Zhongshu to Kang Youwei and Tan Sitong.

This is the first complete book on the history of modern China philosophy. It uses the form of western philosophy to explain the reality of China's philosophical thought, making China's traditional philosophy a modern discipline.

China's philosophy is one of the main types of traditional philosophy in the world.
