Who invented basketball

I. Basketball originated in the U.S. On December 21, 1891, it was invented by James Naismith, a physical education teacher at the YMCA Training School in Springfield, Massachusetts, U.S.A. (now known as Springfield College, Springfield, U.S.A.). 1896, the game of basketball was introduced to China.
