What books should I read to learn Chinese medicine?

For beginners of Chinese medicine, if I teach Chinese medicine by myself, my general order is history of Chinese medicine-basic theory of Chinese medicine-diagnosis of Chinese medicine-Chinese medicine-prescription-internal medicine of Chinese medicine. Although the quality of the current teaching materials is not high, it is often criticized, but at least the views are comprehensive and not extreme (there are many schools of Chinese medicine, each holding its own views and being biased). If you start from a school, such as the popular Vulcan school, it is easy to go astray. But the textbook itself does not need to be read too deeply, and it does not need to take too long at this stage. It doesn't matter if you don't understand some things for a while, so you don't need to delve into them. After entering the next stage of study from typhoid fever, many things will naturally begin to understand.

All the Chinese medicine books I answered are in the lower right corner of the picture. Basically, there are about 50,000 to 60,000 books covering various categories of Chinese medicine, all of which are electronic versions.

Some books are too simple, such as "Manual for the Use of Human Body" and "It's better to seek a doctor than to seek yourself". I have also read these books, and many opinions are biased and I don't recommend them.

Some books are too abstruse, such as Huangdi Neijing, Shennong Materia Medica, and The Source of Four Sages. They are all classical Chinese, and many contents are still difficult to understand literally.

The personal recommended bibliography is as follows: Let's take a look at The Road to Famous and Old Chinese Medicine, which is a summary of many Chinese medicine practitioners' learning process. Everyone's advice is different, but there are many similarities in their experiences.

Next, look at the fifth edition of Basic Theory of Chinese Medicine edited by Professor Yin Huihe, which can be regarded as an overall framework of Chinese medicine. Then take a look at Sixteen Lectures on Clinical Pulse, Frequent Lake Pulse, Diagnostics of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Atlas of Tongue Diagnosis, and have a systematic understanding of the diagnostic methods of traditional Chinese medicine.

Next, you can dabble in classics, such as Huangdi Neijing, Treatise on Febrile Diseases and Treatise on Febrile Diseases. However, it is still difficult to look at them directly. At the same time, it is not necessary to use university textbooks, series of lectures by famous teachers and doctors, or some ancient Chinese medicine books, such as Changsha medical instruments, to start learning Chinese medicine and prescriptions at this stage. What needs special emphasis is that you can't be lazy at this stage! ! ! The back must be back! ! There are no shortcuts! ! There is no discount when playing! ! I can't remember the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine, I can't remember the ingredients of prescriptions, and I can't recite the provisions of typhoid fever. I'd better not learn this medicine before it's too late! ! !

Finally, clinical disciplines, including but not limited to internal medicine of traditional Chinese medicine, gynecology of traditional Chinese medicine, pediatrics of traditional Chinese medicine, orthopedics of traditional Chinese medicine and so on. Similarly, it is not necessary to use textbooks. Many ancient books are equally good. There are too many books to read at this stage, just to name a few chestnuts: Fu Qingzhu Gynecology, Guide to Pediatric Medical Syndrome, Learning from the West in Medical Enthusiasm, Jingyue's Complete Book, Medical Zong Jin Jian, Spleen and Stomach Theory, and a large number of works summarizing clinical experience and compiling prescriptions, such as Li Kelao's Atlas of Acute and Critical Experience of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Zhao Shaoqin's Clinical 400 Methods. But if you want to see it all, it is obviously more difficult. So at this stage, you can selectively dabble in it according to your own interests and needs.

Look at the recommendation of Chinese medicine books in the lower right corner. All these books on traditional Chinese medicine have electronic versions.

You can look at these Chinese medicine books in the future, and if you have enough time or deep interest, you can study and study in depth.
