The difference between automatic blocking and semi-automatic blocking

The differences between automatic blocking and semi-automatic blocking are different definitions, different signaling equipments, different control modes and different scope of application.

1, the definition of different: automatic blocking refers to the signaling equipment according to the position of the train and the direction of operation of the automatic switching signal state, control of train operation; and semi-automatic blocking refers to the signaling equipment by the train driver manually control the signaling state, control of the train driving.

2, signaling equipment is different: automatic blocking of the signaling equipment used for automatic blocking of the signaling machine, signaling machine connected by cable or radio; and semi-automatic blocking of the signaling equipment used for manual signaling machine, the train driver through the signaling joystick to manually control the state of the signaling machine.

3, the control mode is different: automatic blocking is fully automatic control of train movement, the train driver only need to follow the signaling machine instructions; and semi-automatic blocking is the train driver manually control the status of the signaling machine, control of the train's movement.

4, the scope of application is different: automatic blocking for high-speed railroads, urban rail transit and other highly automated lines; and semi-automatic blocking for some secondary lines and industrial railroads and other lines that require a lower degree of automation.
