What is Chashan?

Chashan is the six major tea mountains in the northern part of Lancang River.

The six ancient tea mountains, also known as the six tea mountains in the middle of the river and the six tea mountains in the north of the Lancang River, include Ibang, Gordon, Mangzhi, Manzhuan, Aule (Keno) and Mansa (Yiwu).

Geographically speaking, with the Lancang River as the boundary, Guliucha Mountain is located in the northwest of Lancang River, so it is called Liucha Mountain in Jiangbei or Liucha Mountain in Jiangzhong. The new six tea mountains are located in the southwest of Lancang River, so they are also called "the six tea mountains in the south of the Yangtze River" or "the six tea mountains outside the river". Now we are talking about Guliu Tea Mountain and Xinliu Tea Mountain to avoid confusion and distinction.

1, Yi Wu

The place name of Yiwu is Dai language, which means "the place where beautiful snakes live", because Yiwu has a flower snake cave. "Of the six major tea mountains, Yiwu accounts for one and a half mountains." It shows that the area of Yi Wu Tea Mountain ranks first among the six tea mountains in history.

2. Yibang

One of the six ancient tea mountains of Yunnan Pu 'er tea is located in Xiangming Township, Mengla County, Xishuangbanna. Ibang was originally called "Tangla" in Dai language. Yibang means good tea.

3. Gordon

Gemantain Project is located between Yibang Chashan and Mangzhi Chashan in Xiangming Township, Mengla County, with an area of about 150 square kilometers. Gordon is brown, which means very high place.

Mangya Ancient Tea Mountain is located in Xiangming Township, Mengla County, Xishuangbanna Prefecture, Yunnan Province. Thousands of years ago, ethnic minorities lived and planted tea in Mangzhi Mountain.

5. Beautiful bricks

Manzhuanshan is located in the south of Xiangming Township and the west of Yi Wu. According to legend, Man Zhuan was named after Zhuge Liang buried iron bricks here, so Man Zhuan also wrote Man Zhuan.

6. Yule

Youle Mountain, now Jinuo Mountain, has always been listed as the first of the six ancient tea mountains. Youleshan is located in Jinuo Township, Jinghong City, Xishuangbanna, facing Gordon Chashan, Mangzhi Chashan and Kongming across the Buyuan River.
